Hope you guys will enjoy this chapter. Believe me, a lot is going to happen.

It was only a miracle that I didn't crash this BMW off the side of the road from all the times that I wasn't properly looking out onto the street before me. From the times where I would glance at my cellphone for direction to looking out into the countryside (basically anywhere but the paved road), I would've expected to hit the fence of someone else's land the second I entered the countryside. But so far, luck has been with me for the duration of this drive.

Let's just hope that this luck will stick with me, but with the monster I'm about to meet, I'm sure that Luck is scared of this demon.

"You've arrived at your destination," says the voice from the GPS app on my phone.

I drop the device onto my lap and maneuver my car onto the side of the road, completely moving off of the gravel road and merging onto the grasslands.

Looking at the steering wheel, I take a deep sigh before turning off the engine. I push open the door, remembering to retrieve the set of keys from the ignition, and exit the vehicle. After slamming the door shut, I shove my phone and keys into the pocket of my blue, fitted pea coat.

Then, I move around the car and jog deeper into the countryside.

I know this monumental, but secretive, white stag has to be around here somewhere. From the faint memories of my childhood, one of these hills holds the figure, but it's hard to tell which one. I was only five years old when Tom and Aunt Rose showed me the White Stag that laid rest on the hillside, and at age eighteen, my perspective is a little... different. It's getting close to twelve, and I have to get there on time.

I thought finding this hillside figure would be a lot easier than me trying to slither my way out from my manor without the others worrying about my wellbeing.

At least I was smart enough to come up with the lie that Bell needed to chat with me. I hate leaving the others based on a lie, and I hate leaving my aunt most of all, especially when she took all this time to make sure that I was well and comforted me when I wasn't. I feel so guilty about it, but this seemed more important than trying to stay away from trouble itself.

After crossing between two short hills, I glance around at the neighboring hillsides that decorated the countryside. Every one of them looks identical. They're all blanketed with lush, green grass and the sunlight hits them almost exactly the same way. The only thing I could use to distinctly tell them apart was the patches of bushes that decorated each hill.

How am I ever going to find the right hill?

Thing would've been so much easier if I had Tom or Aunt Rose with me, but that was clearly not an option.

How much time do I have left?

With that, I pull my phone from my coat. Turning on the screen immediately after, I glance down at the screen.

11:53 AM

I only have less than seven minutes to find this damn hillside artwork.
