Throwing the damn mutt off me, that came charging toward me. Rafe let out a loud roar, he wanted to get to Kenna, just as much as I did.

A mind link came through from Catrina. "Where are you?" She sounded worried and annoyed.

"Dealing with the asshole. He had Kenna at the border line," I stated, knowing she will feel bad since the asshole hurt her bad when he hit her over the head. As soon as his attention was on Kenna, Catrina mind linked us to tell us what had happened and that's when I took off.

Rogues had swarmed the grounds when I got to where my brother was, I fought alongside him like we have done over the years till we got the mind link from Catrina, which made me run from the fight while taking out rogues as I passed.

Rafe had taken full form and was tearing bodies apart like they were paper. "They were," he growled, while taking on assholes wolf, slicing open an open wound down its arm.

Every pack member was fighting, somewhere injured while others tried to control the situation. Something tells me that this was a plan to keep us busy, while they get to Kenna and her designs.

Another mind link opened and this one was from Alpha Maddox. "There is no sign of Alpha James anywhere, I think he may have gone after Kenna himself."

Fuck.

Rafe let out a growl, not liking what he was hearing. "We need to get to her now, human."

"Finish the asshole off," I shouted till I spotted my brother coming toward me when he opened a mind link, while in his Lycan form.

"The rogues are under control, a neighbouring pack saw the rogues heading this way and are helping," he said, his Lycan staring toward the wolf, who was in Rafe's hand. It was wrapped around his throat. "Do you want to kill him, or get answers?"

I let out a growl while Rafe snapped the fucker's neck. There was no way we were having this asshole alive, not when we have a mate to protect.

"Well, that answers that one," Lewis said with a smirk, but I ignored him and took off with him running after me.

Kenna's scent was around but I knew where she had gone, back to her home but as soon as we got closer, there was another scent which we knew instantly. Alpha James.

Opening a mind link to Alpha Maddox and Lewis. "Alpha James is at Kenna's house, has her in his grasp."

Alpha Maddox let out a growl, loud enough that it made Lewis and me submit even if he wasn't around.

"You both need to be careful. We don't know what he is capable of," he said, but I let out a low growl while Rafe tensed.

"You seriously want Rafe and me to stay put while he has our mate." My voice came out all growly, but Alpha Maddox growled loud again.

"Ad, you and Rafe need to be careful. He's an alpha, not only that the werewolf council will be notified. We need to get him into a cell before they come." Alpha Maddox stayed silent for a moment before I heard him sound like he was running. "Catrina and I are coming, don't do anything unless there is a reason. Kenna may still not know what—"

"She knows," I muttered, making them all curse under their breath. "Asshole shifted in front of her, not once but twice and even threatened her."

"Please tell me you killed him," Catrina growled, not liking the man for what he did to her, let alone to her friend.

"Oh, he is dead," Lewis muttered, with a pointed tone. "Dipshit wanted his head."

"He tried to take my mate away from me," I all but growled out when we both stopped and heard a piercing scream, and it was coming from Kenna.

Closing the mind link, I go to the door only for Lewis's Lycan to place a hand on Rafe's arm to stop him. "Go in as human. He needs to see you are only there for Kenna, even if he wants to take off your head to keep her."

That made no scene, but I knew with the way Lewis and his Lycan was looking at me I knew there was something I had no clue about and Rafe gave me the reins, even though he wanted to kill the damn man who was holding our mate.

"Raf, we need to go in there and protect her," I stated, trying to calm him down and soon he did. He pushed me forward, letting me shift while Lewis did the same and handed me a pair of shorts which were outside waiting for us, which made me wonder who they belong to.

"They are mine," he muttered, knowing where my head went and sighed. "Cat brought them over here earlier when they arrived. She thought we needed them."

I looked at him and nodded, while we listened in to what was being said. "Give me the designs and we can leave."

All this over her designs, designs that she made. Why can't people stop stealing over people's work? It is disrespectful and harsh.

Catrina had mind linked us all about what she was seeing when she was with Kenna earlier, and everything was designs and ideas she came up with for a city. Hell, my mate even painted too which I knew nothing about.

"Maybe we should talk to her about it," Rafe muttered, liking the fact he got to know more about the woman we were about to spend the rest of our life with.

Before I could say anything, to remind him it wasn't the place. We heard Kenna speak. "You don't want just my designs; you want me to? Why? Both Dylan and you had said that just now?"

Alpha James let out a deep laugh. "Oh, we will take you, even if its by force. You belong to my pack, not this shit one."

A low growl rumbled through my chest and Lewis, not liking how he described our pack to our mate. This is our home, has been for years and we love it here. Peaceful and even quiet with the perfect setting for anything, and don't get me started on the sunrises and sunsets here.

Knowing I was letting my mind go back and fore on a lot of things, Kenna spoke again. "I am not going anywhere with you. I love it here and it's my home. Now you need to leave, or my boyfriend will beat your ass."

That part made me smile, wondering if it was me, she was thinking of which Rafe, and I knew for it to be true since we have fallen for her more ever since the last night.

My eyes moved to Lewis, who was wearing a stupid smirk on his lips at what my mate had said about me.

Alpha James laughed. "Boyfriend, you have no idea what you have set your self up in, dear Kenna. Shall I show you what we all are, even though your boyfriend is an abomination of our kind."

That was it, both Lewis, his Lycan, Rafe and me had enough. I motioned for Lewis to go around the back of the house, which he was hesitant to do but he did while I looked back at the door and knew I had to go in there, praying that Kenna will never think like that retched alpha thought about us Lycans.

I think it's fair to say, I am about to show him what we are capable of and so much more.

Not wanting to wait around anymore and decided to barge into this little party he had going on. I pushed open the door, with a loud bang. I let myself known for him to hear. "Honey, I am home."

My voice echoed around the tiny home, while my eyes found my mate's scared eyes and the alpha holding her by the neck with a claw ready to kill what's ours.

Fuck, I was going to kill and prayed Maddox was close by as I don't think I could do this without Rafe getting out and doing the job.
