ADRIAN

It was taking every damn part of me to keep Rafe under control in my head. He was like a raving hormonal teenager wanting to dry hump, Kenna.

Her arousal hit us, which made him utter profanities that were not even for my ears.

Kenna moved back slightly and ate.

I needed to move away, or someone would subject her to being bent over this table and fucked nine ways to Sunday. That part could be me or Rafe. It was a toss-up between the two of us.

Rafe chuckled, but the damn horny Lycan was sending me mental images of the vision that I said, which was not helping my damn cock as it hardened.

Moving away, I went to the sink and started washing the dishes.

Leaving Kenna to her food, I looked back at the damn teenage Lycan, who had drool slipping past his lips. "Mate," he panted. "She smells so good."

I couldn't even agree with him, even though I did.

"Calm down," I muttered. "You are making it hard to even be around her. We need to wait to hear from Alpha Maddox about everything. He was going to make Lewis take her, but I stopped him."

That last part got his attention, which made him growl, but I ignored him.

"Keep acting like this, and I will have you neutered," I grunted, looking away from him.

Rafe growled, but I placed a block on him.

Keeping quiet momentarily and doing the dishes while I waited for Kenna to finish helped, but my mind raced over everything.

Sleep never came, for I watched over Kenna's little cottage until the sun came up. I managed to get some logs closer to our homes.

An hour before I came to Kenna's, Alpha Maddox mind linked me, informing me that the rogues had no information and that he had dealt with them, which meant they were dead for him. He was heading into work and told me he would be in the office for a while until I was ready. We planned once I had done the roof of Kenna's cottage. He wanted me to meet him at the office, and we would try that alpha again.

I wanted to know what the hell was going on. Rogues never come onto lands unless they have a death wish.

"Adrian," Kenna called out, pulling me from my thoughts as I threw the dishcloth back into the murky water and looked over my shoulder at her while she continued. "I was calling. You okay?"

I smiled at her and nodded.

"Yes, angel," I murmured, turning to face her. Her eyes lingered on me briefly, and then she looked away.

Damn, I loved when she did that. It made my inside tighten.

Kenna cleared her throat and looked back at me. "I'm going to grab my things," she said. "We can drop me off."

I nodded and watched her spin on her heel to walk away. My eyes went to her ass and watched that damn thing sway side to side.

My cock hardens.

Fuck, this was torture. I think I needed neutering more than Rafe.

Shaking my thoughts, I walked over and picked up my top. Placing it over my head and down, I looked at the bookcase that Kenna had done herself. I was proud of her work.

I heard her heels on the floor and saw her placing something in her bag. Her eyes met mine, and she gave me a smile. "Ready?" she asked.

Stepping out of her way, I opened the door for my lady, who let out a slight laugh, which was like heaven to my ears. I wanted nothing more than to make her laugh every damn day.

I stepped outside and closed the door behind me when Kenna locked it. Moving away, I walked over to my truck and opened the passenger door for her.

I brought my truck over here to carry the logs I had placed in her container and more outside, and I made sure she had enough for a month. I took the truck for that purpose, but taking her to work was a bonus.

Kenna gave me a nod and climbed inside.

Walking around to the driver's side, I climbed in and drove off. The radio filled the air while we sat in silence. I kept glancing at her and even caught her looking at me.

As I pulled up to where she worked, she took off her seatbelt and looked at me. "thank you," she said. "I will walk home later."

Like hell you will.

Shaking my head, I leaned toward her and touched her arm. "No, I will pick you up," I muttered. "They forecast it will be raining by the time you finish. You will get wet."

Her eyes stayed on me, but I moved until I was mere inches from her face. "Angel, I'm picking you up," I murmured, my eyes moving to her lips and then to her eyes. I moved back and looked at her. Her cheeks turned a shade of red.

My dirty mind got the better of me, knowing exactly how to get her more flushed.

Kenna cleared her throat again. "I have to ask," she said, which made me look at her. "How do you expect me to pay you?"

I frowned, which made my dirt mind hinder another possibility, but I shot it down before it slipped past my lips.

"Well, you can feed me," I murmured. "Or go out with me."

Kenna's eyes widened at the last one, but I continued. "Angel, I want nothing," I said, which was true, except I wanted her. "Just make me a meal every day. I am doing something for you after I have done the work. I love a home-cooked meal, maybe dessert."

Kenna didn't look convinced.

"Or you can do an IOU for me," I said. "I can cash it in when I want and however I want."

That part was even worse, but she thought about it for a little longer before she gave me a nod. "Okay," she said. "I agree with the two things. After work, I need to pick up some groceries."

I gave her a nod, making a note to remember.

Kenna smiled and said goodbye. I watched her leave until she got inside, but my eyes went to the window on the fourth floor, and I saw Alpha Maddox smirking while giving me a knowing look.

I had a hunch he would be watching.

With a sigh, I started back up and drove to the hardware store to get everything I needed to fix Kenna's roof. Knowing that I get to see her later was even more exciting. I hope we hear from that alpha today. I needed to know what he knew, but something didn't feel right.

Something was nagging at me, but I couldn't figure out what.
