"Hey, wake up." I keep my eyes closed as I turn over in bed.

"It's our day off, you really want to waste it sleeping?"

"Yes." I groan.

"Okay, I guess I'll just have to cancel our reservations." I sit up.

"Don't be a jerk." He pulls my legs off the edge of the bed and kisses me.

"Get up. I've been bored." I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"That's because you wake up way earlier than anyone should on their day off." He sits on the tub and waits for me.

"Oh I forgot to tell you, your Mom called earlier, she wants us to come for Christmas, do you want to?" I rinse my mouth and stand in between his legs.

"Of course I want to, but you know that's just her excuse to try and guilt me into seeing you know who." I walk out of the bathroom and go downstairs to the living room, Spencer follows me.

"He's your brother, Marina." I roll my eyes and drop on the couch.

"I think he lost that title a few years ago." Spencer goes into the kitchen and starts our electric kettle.

"Do you even want to go?"

"I like being around your family, plus I like seeing you in your natural habitat." I scoff.

"Last year they invited Adam, don't you remember how awkward that was?" Spencer and I usually go see my family for Christmas, and of course last year my Mom invited my very serious ex-boyfriend.

"Your Mom invited him, she just saw it as a friendly thing, I mean he was pretty much part of the family since you guys were together for what? Two years?" He takes out two mugs from the cabinet, I'm sure making tea for him and hot chocolate for me.

"Four years, it's weird spending Christmas with him and you, plus I'm pretty sure my Mom is trying to get us back together, doesn't that bother you?" He brings over the mugs, placing one in front of me on the coffee table, then sits next to me.

"I mean, sure it bothers me but, what do you want? To be with me, or to be with him?" I stretch out my legs on him.

"Obviously you."

"Then that's what really matters to me." He traces circles on my legs.

I hear the sound of our dryer stopping.

"Are you doing laundry?" Spencer always wakes up earlier than me and he loves to be productive.

"Yeah, I have a lot of time to kill before you wake up." I get off the couch and head to the laundry room.

"I'll put it away." I grab a laundry basket and start filling it with our freshly washed clothes. I carry the basket upstairs and empty it on the bed. I start organizing and folding.

I open Spencer's sock drawer, my eyes widen at the small velvet box.

"Holy shit." I stare at it for a moment, maybe it's just earrings? Or maybe they're the little button things he sometimes puts at the end of his sleeves?

I glance back and forth from the door back to the box, then finally reach for the box.

I open it exposing a gorgeous ring. My jaw drops. What the hell is he doing with this? I shut the box, put it back where I found it, and start filling the drawer with his socks.

As I continue putting away the laundry my mind is everywhere. Is he going to propose soon? Is the ring even for me? Of course it's for me, who else would he be giving that to. How is he going to propose? Do I even want to get married?
