"Drink this!" My roommate yells at me over the loud music. She hands me a plastic red cup and nearly dumps the drink down my throat.

"I'm going outside!" I have to yell back in order for her to hear me. I fight my way out of the sea of drunk college kids in a shitty frat house.

I instantly feel relieved once I step out into the cool air. A few people stand at the side of the house smoking, and the blaring music leaks out of the house. I sit on the steps leading up to the house.

I'm only staying to make sure my roommate makes it back. She's sort of known to not make it home once she goes out.

"Yeah fuck you Nick!" I roll my eyes at the guy yelling as he steps out of the house.

"Shit it's a mess in there. Do you mind?" He gestures towards the space next to me.

"Uh, no." He sits on the other side of the stairs, copying me by slightly leaning against the railing.

"Why're you out here?" I look over at the guy. He's hot, there's no denying that. He wears black jeans and a black shirt that go well with his dark hair and dark eyes.

"I'm just making sure my roommate makes it back to our dorm. It's pretty much my living hell in there." He laughs.

"What about you?"

"Just wanted to escape the chaos. My buddy Nick joined this frat and he's been trying to get me to go to one of these infamous parties. I gotta be honest with you, I fucking hate it." I laugh.

"I'm Adam, by the way." He reaches out to me, I shake his hand.

"Marina."

We continue talking the rest of the night. We end up leaving the frat house and going to a diner near by.

"You want to split a milkshake?" He asks as he reads his menu. I scrunch up my face.

"Ew, no, I don't share drinks." I drops his menu.

"You don't- well thanks, I was trying to be cute and shit." It's insane how hard I've fallen for this guy in a matter of hours.

"What about a sundae? Or do you not want my spoon to touch your ice cream?" I playfully kick him under the table.

He orders us a sundae and while we wait we doodle on a napkin with a pen he asked to borrow from the waitress.

"What is that supposed to be!?" I laugh and point at his drawing.

"It's a dog! You're an asshole." He says, making me laugh harder.

Our waitress drops off our sundae.

"Biggest bite gets five bucks." He reaches his hand across the table. We shake on it.

"You're on." I pick up my spoon and scoop up a large amount of vanilla ice cream which ends up falling directly onto my pants. He laughs as I frown at the cold, stick treat soaking into my jeans.

"I think technically that bite should've won." He pulls out a five from his pocket and slides it across the table to me.

"Okay seriously though, it's really cold." I take a pile of napkins and rub at my jeans. Adam sits next to me, helping me clean up the melted ice cream dripping from my leg down the booth and onto the floor.

"Oh you have a little something there." He points to my nose.

"On my nose?" I don't feel anything.

"Yeah, let me get it." He dips his finger into the half melted plate of ice cream and drops it on my nose. My jaw drops as he laughs.

"Adam!" I wipe my nose with a napkin.
