I zip up my suitcase thankful it isn't too much of a struggle. I pull it off the bed and roll it downstairs.
"Did you want to see Adam before I drop you off at the airport?" Jason takes my suitcase from me and loads it in the trunk of his car.
"No, we said our goodbyes late night." He nods and closes the trunk. I already said goodbye to my nephews who are by now in bed as well as my sister in law. I picked a late flight so I can sleep on the plane and have Spencer pick me up in the morning.
As we head to the airport I admire the bright lights against the night sky. Jason and I sit in silence through the drive.
-Jason parks in the drop off lane and looks over at me.
"Well, this was an interesting trip." He smirks and clicks off his seatbelt. We both get out of the car and meet at the trunk. He pulls out my suitcase and shuts the back door.
"I hate saying bye to you." He playfully cries pulls me into a hug.
"Me too. Move to Virginia?" I pull back from the hug.
"We'll talk." He winks.
"But seriously I'm planning on coming out when Avery has the baby, I'm sure you guys will need help watching the boys." He looks relieved.
"That sounds awesome, thanks. Tell Spencer I said hey, have a safe flight." I pull the handle up on my suitcase.
"Love you loser, I'll call you soon." I roll my suitcase into the airport and mentally prepare myself for the long flight ahead of me.
-I stand waiting at baggage claim exhausted, and zoning out. A loud alarm plays and a red light flashes alerting me of the now moving belt. I watch as the different suitcases pass, still waiting on mine. I focus in on a vibrant red bag, wondering how the color of the bag could make my eyes hurt just by staring at it, suddenly someone tightly grips my waist.
My body tenses and my heart races. The grip loosens and I turn around to face a very smiley Spencer.
"Hey you." I hug his warm body.
"I missed you." I stand on my toes reaching for his soft lips. He kisses me then quickly pulls away from me completely. He jogs over to the moving conveyer belt and grabs my suitcase.
"Thanks, I'm completely out of it." I follow him out of the airport and to our car. I check the time, 6:50 am.
"We have nothing going on today, want to grab coffee somewhere?" I shake my head and grab his hand hoping he'll gently pull me along.
"I can get coffee at home. I want to change anyway."
-
I feel relieved to be home, yet slightly disappointed I'm once again away from my family.
"Go change, I'll make you some coffee." We walk into the house.
"Thank you, love." I pull Spencer close to me and kiss him, now realizing how much I missed his lips.
I hurry upstairs. I quickly shower and change. I spend the next fifteen minutes doing my makeup which is so routine I luckily don't have to use much effort.
I go back downstairs and sit next to Spencer on the couch. He hands me a mug filled with coffee and spreads a blanket over us.
"I just want to do this all day." I rest my head on his shoulder.
"Well, I was sort of hoping we could start wedding planning." My smile widens at his suggestion.
"I don't want a big traditional wedding. I just want small, simple, intimate. JJ's was perfect." He stands up and reaches for my hands, pulling me up with him.
He pulls me along into the office. I pull out a roller chair from the large desk in the center of the room, Spencer does the same and moves the chair next to mine. We sit and face my iMac, hoping to find a wedding planner and a general idea of what we want.
"So, I'm pretty sure Garcia sent me an email of a friend of hers we can use." I open up my gmail and search for Garcia's personal email.
I find the email and click the link that leads me to her website which is incredibly elegant. We search through photos of previous weddings she's done and I've fallen in love.
"What do you want our wedding to look like?" I imagine Spencer wanting something traditional, in a church, very formal, tone of people.
"I like whatever you like, I really don't have a real idea, the only wedding I've been to has been JJ's." My eyes widen. I had been to about three billion, I can't imagine not knowing all the different types of weddings.
"Why don't we email Garcia's friend, and she can help us choose a theme."
-I wake up feeling exhausted. Spencer and I had been emailing back and forth with Garcia's friend, Stacy, most of the night, and doing our own research practically until morning. I down a cup of coffee and we leave for work.
The elevator opens to our floor, I can finally feel the coffee kicking in, thankfully. Spencer and I walk over to our desks and the team crowds us.
"Look who's back! We missed you, Rosie." Morgan tightly squeezes me.
"I missed you guys. I've had an insane week." I continue hugging everyone then finally Hotch comes down to greet me.
"It's good to have you back, Marina." He pulls me into him and discretely shoves an envelope in my hands. I pull back looking confused I'm sure.
"Good to be back." I tuck the envelope under my arm as he walks away.
I go back to my desk and unlock the drawer with Chris's letters, assuming Hotch just handed me another one. I need to talk to him about these personal deliveries.
Garcia rushes over to me with her eyes bright and her smile wide.
"The wedding! You finally started planning the wedding! My girl Stacy texted me and I cannot tell you how excited I am. If you guys need anything let me know I am so down to be apart of this." She talks so quickly I can barely follow along.
"Thank you, Stacy seems amazing. I'm pretty sure she has everything covered, but, if you want to help us narrow down a color scheme that would be awesome." I watch her reaction as I speak. She nearly jumps up and down, and would have if she wasn't wearing heels.
"Yes! Yes. I'm going to my office now, be expecting a million texts." She quickly leaves to her office leaving Spencer and I excited and worried we won't be able to keep up.
