"Can I at least get transferred to our hospital?" I spend the morning arguing with Spencer. I hate being in the hospital,
"Marina, do you realize how recent this happened? What happens if we're traveling and you just black out? Plus, you just had surgery on your wrist and you're going to want the pain medications you're on right now." I glance down at the black cast then back up to Spencer.
"What if you need to leave? I'm just going to be here, I might as well be home." He clenches his jaw.
"We will figure it out, now stop talking about it." Hotch comes into the room.
"How're you feeling?" He rests his hands on the end of the bed frame.
"Ready to go home. Can you release me?" Spencer loudly sighs and steps out of the room.
"I was just messing with him... unless you can release me. Hotch I just want to go home. I basically have no idea where I am." He moves closer and sits on the end of the bed.
"You're tough. I know you know that, but right now you're down. Don't make things worse. I can see what I can do about sending you home but Marina you're not coming back to work." I frown, fearing he really means it.
"I'm okay. I mean what even happened? I don't remember anything." I do my best to prop myself up further.
"You and Emily were undercover. You were luring in the unsubs, two. One of the men used the car as a tool to knock you out, then pulled Emily in. We had to wait to get to you because we needed to see where they were keeping the other women. So there were about ten cars following, when we got to the home we moved quickly, one of the guys was carrying you down the stairs, to the basement, when he saw us he dropped you, that's how you broke your wrist." I try to picture it the best I can.
"You said Emily was with me? Is she okay?" He nods.
"You took the hit for the both of you. She's fine, just some bruising, should be home by now." Spencer comes back in holding a cup of Jello and coffee, and sits on the wheelchair.
"It may take a few days, but you'll be home soon." He stands up and leaves. I look at Spencer who seems satisfied by his findings.
"Where is everyone?" I haven't seen anyone other than Hotch.
"They went home this morning. They came by to see you but we couldn't wake you up... do you want some Jello?" He holds up the cup with a smile.
"No... Are you going home?" It doesn't make sense for him to stay here, of course I want him to be with me, I just don't want him to be held back by me.
"Of course not, I'm staying right here with you. Do you really think I'd leave you?" I shrug.
"What if you find out you have a sister and she wants to meet you. Then would you go?" He laughs and crosses his arms.
"I'd invite her here so she could meet my insane...ly beautiful fiancé." He smirks and leans in to kiss me.
"Ew you taste like coffee." He sticks out his tongue. Dr. Reed leans against the doorway and knocks.
"How we feelin?" He walks in holding a clipboard.
"As good as new." He smiles.
"Right, well I have some news, your boss is a very persistent man and quite frankly I don't want to deal with him anymore. I can't quite hold you here against your will, but I think you should listen to the options I have for you." He glances down at his papers.
"Of course we can transfer you to your hospital at home that's not the issue. The main issue is transporting you. Depending on how you plan on getting home, you are at risk of something going wrong with your health and not being where immediate help can be provided. That could potentially be a big deal, I hope you understand that."
