Chapter 49

Maddies P.O.V~

School ends in no time, and I couldn't be more thankful, I needed school to just end. This day hasn't exactly gone the way that I planned. I take my bag and sling it over my shoulder and start to walk out of school. Once I'm out, I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I roll my eyes and start to turn around, "Matt I don't want to hear any of your excuse", once I see who is really behind me I groan and start to walk away.

"So you and Matt are in a fight again?" He grins.

"No, were not we just had a disagreement, now go away." I walk faster away from him and he grabs my hand and pins me against a wall behind the school.

"I know you want me." He says with his face inches from mine.

"No I do not, now get away from me." I snap and try to push him off of me.

"I see the way you look at me, c'mon admit it you can't resist me, he says leaning in and I take my hand and slap him across the face.

"Don't you ever, come near me ever again." I growl and walk away. When I look back at him he's rubbing his jaw and looks up at me and we make eye contact I look away quickly. I start to walk away faster, and then I accidentally bump into someone else, "Watch were your going jerk..." I say until I realize who it is. Matt.

"Oh um, i'm sorry." I apologize to him and look down.

"Whoa whats wrong?" He asks taking his hand and lifting up my chin but I turn my head.

"Nothing, I have to go home." I say and start to walk away but he grabs my arm

"Listen, I know I over reacted today. I'm sorry, I just can't help it." He starts off. And I arch my brow.

"I don't like sharing you ok?" He grins, taking my hand moving it back and fourth.

"I know." I can't help but smile.

'Are we ok now?" He whines taking me in for hug.

"Since you already started hugging me even before I could answer, I guess were ok." I giggle.

"Ew get a room." I hear ashley say as she walks by us. I step out of the hug to go say something but, Matt grabs me and pulls me back.

"It's not worth it, she's just jealous." He says and puts his arm around me as we walk to his car. Once we reach his car, I get in and he drives me home. Soft music starts to play, and I turn it up. I can feel matt looking at me as I look outside watching as all the trees and cars rush by. I feel a soft hand placed on my thigh, and I look down putting my hand on top of his. Moments later we arrive at my house, I go to open the car door but he stops me.

"I am really sorry for today, I didn't mean to make you upset. I'm going to try harder I promise." He apologizes again.

"No I know, it's ok thank you for realizing that." I say and kiss him on the cheek.

"Wait does that mean you don't have to hangout with Robert today?" He grins. I roll my eyes and close the car door. I walk up to the front door and I hear Matt shout, "I love you be safe!"

And I laugh to myself. I walk into my house and walk up to the stairs into my room. I sit on my bed, taking out all of my home work. My mind wonders to Matt. I'm glad he's working on trying to be less jealous when I hang out with other people. I know it's not easy for him, he's used to getting everything he wants. But ever since me, he has to earn what he wants. But In a way it's kind of a nice feeling that a boy actually wants to keep me safe and just wants me to myself. I have never had someone care about me like that before not even with my mother. I always had to fight my own battles. But ever since Matt, this year of school wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I remember when Matt was the one bullying me, always pushing me into lockers, calling me names having his friends make fun of me. But something changed in him. Something had to click in his brain, to think this isn't right, This wasn't the right thing to do. I never really knew why he had stopped. I mean I understand that he realized he liked me all along and just wanted to get my attention but didn't exactly know how.
