Chapter 5

MATTHEW'S P.O.V

The next morning I woke up with 3 messages. One from Cameron, and 2 from my mom. I opened Cameron's first.

Cam-hey man, I'm going to stay at my cousins for magcon. So I will be going to magcon from there.

Me- alright tell me when you get there.

Then next my mom

Mom- Matt I'm going to work.

Mom-ill be back late tonight. And also will dad. As usual, I get out of bed and get dressed. About 40 mintues later I am dressed and ready for school, I walk down stairs and head out the door, I start my car and it doesn't start. "Shit." I yell/whisper to myself. . Now I have to take the bus. Yay. I start walking and I see a girl standing there. Maddie? I walk closer and it is her. I didn't know she takes the bus.

"Maddie!" I shout. Why did I just do that, she hates me.

"What do you want?" She asks with an annoyed look.

"Nothing I just wanted to say hi." I say like it's no big deal.

"Well, ok hi?" The bus pulls up and we both get on.

"Hey slut!" A boy shouts to her. She just shakes her head and keeps walking. She takes her seat. And I sit right next to her. I can see her staring at me with a confused look. "What are you doing?" She asks. "Just sitting." I say shrugging my shoulders. "Well duh, but why here?" She questions. "I don't know I just wanted to. I say. "Ok..

10 min later were at school. And Maddie practically runs off the bus. When I walk in to school, I see my friends making fun of her and walk over/

"Guys leave her alone." I say sternly.

"Why?" Alex asked.

"Cause I said to. " I growl. They all walk away, with a confused look on there faces.

"Maddie-" I try to talk to her.

"Matthew go away I don't want to talk to you." She says walking away.

The bell rings and it's time for social studies. Ok good that's the class I'm in with her. This bullying thing isn't working. Not that I thought it would. I don't know how to tell her. I really want to but I just don't know how. After social studies. All my classes pretty much flew by. So I go to my locker and grab my things. "Hey man what's up. Alex says.

"Nothing. Well my brother Derek is throwing a huge party what to come? He asks.

"Na I'm good." I say and walk away. I need to find a way to tell Maddie that I like her. It's not going to be easy but, I'll give it a shot.

MADDIE'S P.O.V

After social studies I walk out and go to my locker to get my things. Matthew kept trying to get my attention all day in class but I ignored him. He does't deserve my time, I'm done with him and his bipolar side of him. I walk out of school, I don't feel like taking the bus today so I just walk out. As I'm walking all of a sudden I am slapped in the face. Again. I turn around and I saw Ashley.

"I thought I told you to stay away from my Matthew bitch!" She growls. "Now your going to pay." She says and punches me in the stomach. Making me fall to the ground. I groan in pain while lying there on the ground. Ashley walks away with her heels clicking against the concrete ground. I struggle to get back up, but manage to make my way home. Once I am home my mother is on the couch with a novle in her hand, but once she sees me she drops it and runs towards me.

"Maddie what happened!?" She asked.

"Nothing I just tripped over a rock. I lie.

"Well come on let's get you some ice." she says.
