Chp23

I get up and look out my window and scream. "Ow stop screaming." The stranger says.

"Who are you?" I ask.

"It's matt?" He says like I can see his face.

'"Oh." I say, "well what the hell are you doing in my window?" I ask sternly putting my hands on my hips.

"I came to see you." He smiles. Is he drunk?

"Matt I already told you to stay away from me and I ment it." I say.

"Why?" He asks. Is he stupid?

"Because you hurt me, what you said was really rude." I explain.

"What did I do?" He asks.

"Are you drunk?" I ask.

"No." He says. "Matt." I press.

"Fine ya a little. He says.

"Ugh." I groan rubbing my temples, "matt you need to leave." I say through my teeth. He looks blankly at my wrist. Shit. Probably shouldn't have out on a tank top. "What?" I ask, putting my hands behind my back. "Give me your arm, he says stepping towards me. "No." I say.

"Maddie show me your wrist." He presses.

"No!" I shout. He grabs my arm and turns my wrist around. His eyes get glossy.

"Maddie, why?" He asks.

"Matt just don't worry about it, it's obvious you don't care." I snap.

"Maddie, I know What I said was wrong, and I didn't mean to say it." He says.

"I may say things that I don't mean, but I don't mean to." He explains, "and I know I always say I'm sorry or, I didn't mean it but I'm not going to promise you that I won't hurt you again but I will promise that I will always love you no matter what. He assures me. I look down at my feet, not knowing what to say.

"I know you do this because of me." He whispers.

"Matt-. I say but he cuts me off.

"No, Maddie I know I did this, I made you feel like shit so you went on and did that." And it kills me, to see you do that." I didn't notice until now that I'm now crying. I feel the tears stream down my face. "Maddie I'm so sorry." He grabs me from my waist and pulls me into a hug. He hugs me tighter than usual. "I'm sorry none of this should have happened." He says into my hair. We both hold each other for a few more minutes and let go. "Maddie?" He asks.

"Hm?" "I love you." He smiles.

 "I love you more." I smile back.

Maddie's P.O.V-

My alarm clock goes off and I groan and hit the snooze button but it won't work. I on plug it and get up. I grab a pair of jeans and sweater slip on my shoes and do my makeup. After I'm done I grab my jacket and head out the door to my bus. As I'm walking, I am startled by a beeping noise. I look to my left and see matt in his car.

"Come on." He says. I walk over and get in his car.

"Good morning." He says kissing my lips.

"Good morning." I smile. He drives to school and we park and get out. He grabs my hand, and I'm shocked at his public affection towards me. He sees my reaction and turns to me.

"What?" He asks.

"No nothing, I'm just sort of shocked. I say.

"Shocked about what?" He asks.

"You holding my hand." I say shyly.

"Why, I have held your hand before. " he chuckles.

"Yea but in public." I say. 

"Well I guess I'm just showing off my beautiful girlfriend." He says kissing my hand. I blush. We walk into school and we both get glances from everyone.

"Matt, baby." Ashley says and comes up to him.

"What do you want?" He asks annoyed.

"I just wanted to say I had fun at the party last night, I'm glad you were there." She says and walks away winking at him and then glares at me. 

"What the hell was that about." I snap.

 "I don't even know my self." He says. And starts to walk away but I grab his arm.

"What happened between you too last night at a party that you didn't tell me about." I ask.

"Number one, nothing happened between us last night she's probably just saying that to get to you, and number two, you don't have to know all my damn business." He snaps back.

"Well I kind of do, actually I want to know why you would waste your time to go to a party and get drunk for no reason." I say.

"I'm late for class." He huffs, and walks away. I groan to myself and we both walk separate ways. As I am about to walk into math class I am pulled from the back of my back pack and shoved to a locker. I fall on to the floor. Matt's group of friends laugh and walk into class. I thought matt talked to them about bullying me. I know have a massive headache and my back hurts. I need to go home I thought to my self. I struggled to get up but I made to the nurses office.

"Hi sweetie what can I help you with?" She smiled showing off her red lipstick.

"Um someone accidentally ran into me and I hit a locker and hurt my back and my head." I lie.

"Oh dear that's not good, ill call your mother right now." I nod and sit down in a chair. 20 min later my mom comes in the office all dressed up in her work clothes.

"Come on honey lets get you home." She says. I nod again, and leave to go to her car.

Matthews P.O.V~

I walk out of science and head to socials studies Maddie and I are in that class together I really need to talk to her and apologize for snapping at her this morning. I walk in and she's not in there. Where is she? I see my group of friends in the hall way.

"It was hilarious when you grabbed her back then she went hitting the locker." I hear Brett laugh. I walk over to Alex and pin him to a locker by his collar.

"What did you do to her?" I shout in his face.

"What just having a little fun like we used to." He smirks.

"Leave her alone I mean it." I warn him.

"What happened to you man, you hated this girl, and now your dating her and protecting her?" He asks in disgust.

"Doesn't it ever get old?" Drinking every week, hooking up with different girls.

"Cause believe me, it does. I say.

"Your pathetic." Alex says to me.

"Maybe I am but I don't really care anymore, I'm sick of Being in this stupid group." I say. And walk to the main office. In about 2 minutes I'm there.

"Can I help you?" The woman asks.

"Yes, can you tell me what happened to Maddie wood?" I ask.

"I'm sorry sir but I'm not aloud to share personal information about other students." She explains.

"But I'm her boyfriend." I say.

"Still I can't-.

"Please." I plead.

"Fine she sighs, ok she said she got bumped into a locker and hit her head and back." She says. "Is she ok?" I ask nervously. "Yes she is but you need to get into class." She Says to me. "Yes mam." She rights me a slip and I head back to class.
