Chapter 25

Maddie's P.O.V

Matt was just about to say something when the door bell rang. "Hold on." I tell him and walk over to the door and open it. "Hey." Robert chimes. Shit. "Robert what are you doing here?" I ask. "Oh well I was just wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out?" He smiles. Now I feel bad. "Robert I'm sorry I can't-" I'm about to finish what I was saying when Matthew raps his hands around my waist. "Oh hey, Robby right?" Matthew fake smiles. "Robert." Robert says obviously uncomfortable. "Right." Matthew says. "Sorry Robert I can't today maybe some other day?" I ask. "Yea, ok um I'm sorry for intruding." He apologizes. "No don't apologize, it's fine. I assure him. "Alright." He says. "Um well ill see you around." He says walking away. Matthew closes the door, and grabs my arm as I try to walk away. " I thought I told you to stay away from him." He booms towering over me. "I can hang out with anyone I want." I say making my point clear. "Why do you always assume, every time a boy talks to me, you think they like me, I mean it's ridicules," I shout. "It's not ridiculous!" He yells. "I just don't want you hanging out with other boys, end of discussion!" He shouts. "No, not end up discussion, your not my father so stop acting like it, I can hang out with any boy I want to!" I yell standing my ground. "Oh so you wouldn't mind if I went and started hanging out with ashley?" He threatens. He wouldn't, would he? "That is completely different!" I yell clearly pissed. "Not really." He says. "What are we doing?" I say after a few seconds of silence. "I don't know." Matt says with out even looking at me. I sigh. I watch as he slowly walks closer to me and opens his arms. "Come here." He says. I walk slowly to him and he grabs my arm embraces me into a hug. "I'm sorry." He whispers. "I know your going through a tuff time, and I'm not making it easier." He tells me. I stay silent and just nod. He pulls away, putting his hands on my shoulders and looking in my eyes. "Are you ok?" He asks. I nod my head. He grabs my arm. "Your still doing this?" He Asks. With eyes getting glossy. I look at my feet cause I feel to embarrassed to look Ito his eyes. "Maddie I thought I told you to not do this anymore." Matt tells me. " don't you think I know that!" I yell and walk away. "It's not that easy!" I start sobbing. "I know I know." He starts to hug me but I push him away. "No you don't!" You don't know, how this feels!" I scream. "I don't understand, why you even love me." I cry/whisper.

"I mean look at me!" I have scars, I'm not pretty, I'm not skinny!" I don't understand. I sob. "Maddie." He says and embraces me in a hug. "Maddie, I think you are perfect just the way you are, you may see ugly fat and scars, all I see is beautiful, perfect and beautiful scars." He tells me and grabs my arm and kisses all my scars. He starts counting them on my arm. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Counting how many times you needed me and I wasn't there." He says looking at me. I sob even more. "Maddie don't ever think down about your self, all it is, is your brain telling you, you can't do it you can't get through it, but really you can, you can get through it, and ill be right there by your side." He says taking my hand. I try my best to smile at him but I fail. "I love you." He tells me. "I love you too." I tell him. "We are one weird couple." I laugh and wipe my tears away. "You got that right." He says laughing.

Next Morning~

I wake up and get ready for school. My phone screen lights up with a text message it's from matt.

Matt- good morning beautiful hope you slept well. <3

I look at it In aw. And reply.

I get ready to go to school and head to the kitchen to get breakfast. I hear someone close the pantry. "Mom?" I ask. I walk in and see a man standing there.
