Chapter 42

Matthew and I sit on my bed for a few more minutes in silence until he breaks it by speaking, "You know I have missed you so much." He explains. I have missed him as much as he missed me, maybe a little more. I have wished for this moment, just to talk about how were feeling towards each other. We have been so distant from each other for the passed few days and it's only making matters worse. It has only been less than a week that we have been broken up, and here I am crawling right back to him. Why do I have to be so naive?

"I have missed you too." I say looking into his eyes.

What are we doing?" I whine laying my head on to his shoulder. He kisses the top of my forehead.

"I would love, if you would forgive me already." He smirks. I hesitate before I answer, am I ready for this? Do I want this? I think I do, him and I have suffered enough.

"Ok." I sigh but with a smile.

"Ok?" He beams.

"Really are you serious?" His bright smile warms my heart.

"Oh thank god, he whispers before he crashes his lips onto mine. I feel like a huge weight on my shoulders has lifted and I am thankful. No more worrying if were ever going to get back together, no more worrying about finding other people. We fall back onto the bed and my fingers rake through his hair. I tug at it slightly and he moans. He starts to lift up my shirt, but a car door closing interrupts us.

"I think thats my mother." I start to panic, cleaning up my room and fixing up my bed. I look at matthew and start to panic even more, she can't know that he's here. She would kill me if she found out that he was here without her permission. I here the front door open and I grab Matt's hand.

"Get in the closet." I demand.

"What? No. He says.

"Maddie, you are a 17 year old girl stop worrying what your mum is going to do- matt is cut off by my mother opening the door.

"Oh, hello Matthew." She smiles caught off guard.

"Hello mrs.Woods sorry for barging in I just needed to talk to Maddie." He assures her.

"Oh no of course, thats fine." She smiles

"Is everything ok between you too?" She questions.

"Yes, there fine." I budge in.

"Ok, well I'll leave you too alone for now." She excuses her self from the room.

"See it wasn't that bad, she didn't seem mad at all." He reassures me.

"Thats just because your here." I roll my eyes.

"Hey don't get all pouty on me, we just got back together I want us to be happy and not fight for once."

"Are we really doing this?" I ask.

"Yep, he says and brings me on top of his lap. I wrap my arms around his neck and he holds me in place with his hands on my waist. He brushes my hair out of my face.

"Please don't ever leave me again, he pleads.

"I won't, unless you give me a reason too." I tell him. The rest of the day Matthew and I laid on my bed watching random youtube videos and movies until finally it was time for him to leave. I walk downstairs with him and open the door.

"I'll see you tomorrow, I love you so much please don't forget that. " he says and pulls me by my waist before connecting my lips with his.

"Wait, we have school tomorrow." I release from the kiss.
