Danny's POV

It started. The madness and the tour. The life on the road I never thought I would ever go back to. Surprisingly me and Liv both kept our end of the deal.
Our relationship was strictly based on phone calls, e-mails, texts and Skype. We both thought it would be hard but it wasn't hard at all.

I was starting to wonder if I jumped into things too quickly...I didn't want to hurt her, but I couldn't help myself from thinking if I allowed myself to move on properly from all the pain and grief. Even Glen started to become more alive and to understand the losses he had been through. We leaned on each other and the studio was our punching bag. Just like it always was.

"What seems to bother ye mate?", asked Mark handing me over a glass of vodka.
"Just thinking...The Script is back in business. I didn't think these days would ever come back."
"Well better believe they did! I had no doubt regarding that! But there is something else that bothers you."
"It's Liv...we haven't talked that much lately. And I'm starting to think I threw myself too quick into something else. I don't wanna hurt her either she is a great girl..."
"Dan look I don't understand you! One minute you are at Agnes's throat saying you can't live without Liv for a year and the next you're saying you jumped too quickly into things! I don't get you! Seriously! Start thinking things properly. Maybe it's just a phase."
"Maybe...but she replies to my texts after hours and she is always busy..."
"Is she coming tonight? To the gig?"
"She said she would come, but now I don't know to be honest."
"Look...you and Liv, you are special, but in my point of view it's not the special you are looking for. She is a great person, but I see the two of you as friends. And that's it. I don't see the two of you building something together."
"You thought me and Alexis had something and we all knew how that ended.", I said sarcastically.
"Yeah, well don't mind me, but you suffered like a dog for Alexis the two years you were apart. Now after Liv I see you just doing a pout and that's it. Maybe the timing was wrong, who knows, but I don't see the two of you growing old together. After all, we both know what world she was born in and what world you and me came from. She probably has 10 different forks and spoons at her table whereas we wipe ours clean and just use them for the next dish. Think about that. You may need a break from all this."
"I think you are right. Although Liv never was the type to be an aristocrat."
"The woman has a house in the Hamptons and you live in a two by two flat in London. Not even her bathroom is that small."
"Look, she texted me...she isn't coming...she has a charity dinner with her family.", I sighed.

But somehow her absence didn't hurt me as much as I thought it would.

"Dan, look, Liv tried not to embrace this life, but she ended doing it eventually. As much as she loves being a normal girl she is not. She is a socialite. And helping others is part of her "I will sleep well because I did that and I won't feel guilty when I'll buy a Prada bag" speech."
"I'll think about what you said. Now let's blow the roof of Dublin castle."
"You eejit. It's an outdoor concert!", laughed Glen.

We did what we were best at. Like professionals. We did it perfectly because it was done out of love. Our passion and love for music and our friendship that kept together all these years. The crowd was delirious. They sang their hearts out bringing tears in my eyes. I was gutted.

"You guys absolutely sound amazing... I can't even speak properly...", I said gutted in the mic.

The crowd started to scream even louder...

"Wow...you are amazing...almost a year ago when I got sick, I never imagined I would be here on stage in front of you amazing people. That's why I wanna dedicate the next song to a person that believed in me, to each and everyone of you who have come here tonight and to my family who stood by my side through the toughest times!", I ended as Mark started to play the intro to "You Won't Feel A Thing."
