*****Cooper's Point of View*****

"Yep, yep, just there, perfect!" I said. Nurse Genella was helping me put my GMM poster up in the hospital room. I was being very particular about where it was to be stuck.

Nurse Genella stuck in down and took a step back.

"It's crooked." I noted.

Nurse Genella sighed and fixed it.

"Happy now?" She asked.

"Yep!" I said with a giggle.

Nurse Genella sighed. "So I'm guessing you enjoyed the visit?"

"It was the greatest!" I exclaimed. "We got to play a board game, and we played on the iPad, and it was just the greatest thing to happen ever."

"The greatest thing to happen ever?"

"Yes."

Nurse Genella chuckled. "I'm glad."

I reached over to the table and grabbed the iPad to show Nurse Genella the photo. My stupid fingers couldn't push the button though. After a few seconds of trying, I just slammed my fist down onto it and it turned on. I sighed.

"Maybe you shouldn't do that..."

"I know." I breathed.

"It's a good picture though." She said, looking at it.

"Yeah, I guess it is." I said, looking at it. "Would probably be better if I wasn't in this hospital bed, but hey, it's good besides the circumstances."

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. But remember, you have that brain scan tomorrow."

I sighed. "Do I have to go to that?" I pleaded.

"Yes, Cooper, you have to go to that."

I sighed and looked down at my fingers. These scans were not enjoyable. I mean, I'd done two already and both of them had awful results.

My first scan I ever had, I found out I had brain cancer.

My second scan, I found out that I probably wouldn't live past Christmas. It was February already. After that scan, my mother took down all the calender's in my room. I guess she didn't want me thinking about how much time I had left until I died. But I still counted the days, never missing one.

I sighed and nodded. "I guess I'll have to go then."

I'll be back in a few hours with dinner." Nurse Genella said. She patted my shoulder and left.

The room was empty again, but for some reason, it didn't feel so lonely anymore. Today, with the visit from my heroes, I guess things were looking up.

*****Rhett's Point of View*****

"Well, I think that went well" I said as we walked out to the car.

"Yeah, it did." Link agreed. "She's a good kid."

I murmured in agreement as I got into the car. Link dropped me home and I walked inside.

"Hi guys!" I called out.

Shepherd came running to give me a hug, as always. Locke was sitting on the couch with his headphones on. Forever scrolling through his phone.

"Hey Jessie" I said, wrapping my wife in a hug.

"Hey Rhett!" Jessie exclaimed. "How'd you go at the hospital today?"

"It was great! She really had a good time." I said.

"I'm so glad you do stuff like this Rhett, I have no doubt your visit will make her smile for weeks to come." Jessie said, leaning in for a kiss.

I kissed my wife back and smiled. "Thanks Jess."

*****Link's Point of View*****

I parked my car outside my house and headed inside. The kids and Christy were sitting around the kitchen table playing monopoly. I slid in to the empty chair.

"Hey Dad! We're playing monopoly" Lando said, grinning. We wasn't playing, but sitting on his mother's lap as she played.

"Hey guys." I said.

"Do you want to play?" Lily asked.

"No, it's okay, I just played actually. At the hospital."

"Ohh, right, how was that?" Christy asked.

"It was amazing. Such a good kid, but man, she has the worst luck. Kind of makes you appreciate what you have." I said.

"Well that's good." Lincoln said. "And it's my turn."

Lincoln had his turn, and as I watched my family play, I realized just how lucky we were.
