**** Rhett's Point of View *****

"Cooper! Link's here!" I called out to the hallway. It was Wednesday night, which always meant ice-cream with Link.

"Coming! Just a second!" I heard Cooper call from the bathroom.

I wandered down the hall and opened the bathroom door, which was met by Cooper shrieking loudly. I quickly pulled it shut. "Sorry!" I squeaked.

But then realised something wasn't right. Cooper was wearing a dark brown hat. She didn't HAVE a dark brown hat.

I slowly pushed the door again, where Cooper was looking at her reflection in the mirror, a disappointed frown on her face. Her orange beanie was lying off to the side.

"Nice hair." I complimented, appearing in the mirror behind her.

Cooper sighed. "It's ugly."

"No it's not!" I defended. "The dark brown suits you!"

Cooper chucked awkwardly. "It's weird. Before it all fell out, it was the same sorta colour as Uncle Randy."

"You had red hair?"

"More strawberry-blonde. Do you have your phone on you?"

I nodded and passed it over after typing in my passcode. Cooper started looking for something.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Finding an instagram account from another life." She muttered.

"You're on instagram?" I asked.

She shrugged. "Used to be. Kind of stopped after my personality changes I told you about earlier in the week. But here, this is a picture of what I used to look like at 13. It's really different."

I glanced down at the picture. Indeed, it was really different. If I didn't know, I'd probably think that I was looking at someone else. But I knew that face. Cooper was a little more healthy, her skin had a little more colour in it, and she had wavy strawberry-blonde hair that went down past her shoulders.

"Wow."

Cooper nodded. "Yeah. It's been a bit of a change."

"Well come on, we can make this little tuft look awesome!" I encouraged, grabbing the hair gel from the top drawer.

Cooper shrugged, and I got to work, gelling it to the best of my ability. When I was finished, Cooper was looking at her reflection, absolutely shocked.

"See? That looks good!"

She turned to face me and snicked. "Rhett, you've given me your hairstyle."

"What? Huh? Oh..."

Cooper giggled and flattened it back down. "That was cute though. You're face when you realised, absolutely hilarious.  I'll just wait for it to grow longer."

"Oh come on, there's got to be something we can do!" I said.

Cooper shook her head. "It's too short, Rhett. Nothing to do with it yet."

"It's a good 2 and a half inches. That's pretty good for being off treatment for a couple of weeks." I said.

Cooper looked at me funny. "Did you not know I got Dr Anderson to prescribe me some meds to grow my hair back faster?"

"No, did you?"

"Uh huh. He suggested it, too. And it's working, that's for sure."

"That's cool." I smiled. "And the length is good. I can take you to the hairdressers tomorrow if you want. We can cut it into something more stylish."
