*****Cooper's Point of View*****

"Where were you yesterday?" Reuben asked as he skated up the ramp next to me.

I shrugged awkwardly. We had been skating together every day for a week now, and we were starting to become really good friends. But I still wasn't confident enough to tell him that I was at Doctor Anderson's.

"Uh, just, had to stay and help my cousin out with something." I lied.

Reuben accepted my lie without any questions, which was good. "Wanna practice the full cab?"

I nodded, and we went down to the steps at the bottom

I nodded, and we went down to the steps at the bottom. Reuben went first, and although he tried, he did stack it. I helped him up, and I had a go. I made it, but only just.

"You okay Coops?" Reuben asked, using the nickname he had given me over the past few days.

I nodded. "Yeah, course. I made it. You all good?"

He nodded. "I'm gonna go again. I didn't get enough shoulder action into it, that's why I fell."

"Yeah, make sure you twist all the around, or else you'll stack it."

He flashed me a small grin, and had another go, and I don't know how, but he managed to land it perfectly.

"How'd you do that?!" I exclaimed.

He laughed. "Shoulder action."

I frowned. "It was my advice."

"And my wonderful arms."

I laughed. "Alright. Fine."

He grinned. "See if you can do it."

I had another go, focusing more on my arms than the leg action, and I managed to land it pretty smoothly.

"What did I say? Shoulder action is top notch." Reuben said with a cocky grin on his face.

I laughed. "Yeah, I guess."

"Hey! You two!"

Reuben and I both turned our attention to a guy running towards us from the parking lot. He seemed to be in his early 20's, and was wearing casual street wear as well as sporting some rather long dreadlocks pulled back in a sort of ponytail.

"Us?" I asked. "Actually, that's a stupid question. We're the only two people here."

The guy reached us and panted a couple of times. "Yeah, you two."

"What's up?" Reuben asked.

"Well, I've been watching from the parking lot-"

I cut him off. "Well, that's not creepy AT ALL."

"Hear me out." He stated. "I'm in charge of scouting the local area for new upcoming talent. I'm from the skate shed downtown, you heard of it?"

Reuben nodded. "Oh yeah, the big place in that big shed."
