***** Cooper's Point of View *****

"You all ready?" Jessie asked as I walked out into the main room.

I nodded. "Yep. Everything is ready."

"Have you got your phone?" Rhett asked. "And your emergency medication? And spare socks in case you walk through a puddle or something?"

"I'll be fine Rhett. I promise." I assured. "And I'm pretty sure I don't need socks."

"What time is he coming to pick you up?" Jessie asked.

I checked the time. "In about 10 minutes."

Jessie smiled. "So exciting! Do you know what movie you're seeing?"

I shrugged. "Not really. But I don't mind."

"Of course you don't." Rhett muttered.

"Be nice Rhett." Jessie said sternly.

Rhett forced a smile, and I giggled slightly.

"Rhett, I promise. You don't need to worry. I can take care of myself. And Reuben is just my friend, okay?"

He sighed. "Okay Cooper."

I smiled and gave him a hug. "Thanks for understanding."

He smiled. "No problems. You've got everything?"

I nodded. "Yes. Yes I do."

There was a knock at the door and Rhett practically ran to answer it, but Locke just beat him. He opened the door and Reuben was standing there, dressed in semi-nice clothes.

"Hey Reubs." I smiled as I walked past Rhett and Locke.

"Hey Coops." He grinned.

"Take care of her." Rhett said firmly.

Reuben nodded, intimidated by his height. "Of course."

Rhett gave me one last hug before I walked out the door to Reuben's car. He opened the backseat door for me and I sat down, looking over the interior.

"So you must be Cooper."

I looked over at the woman in the front seat. "Uh...Yes Ma'am."

She chuckled slightly. "Don't worry about the formalities. I'm just here to drive you two to where you want to go. Reuben hasn't shut up about this all week!"

"Mooooom!" Reuben whined as I giggled slightly.

I laughed and leaned back into the seat, already feeling comfortable here.

"So what movie are you two going to see?" Reuben's Mom asked.

"It's a screening of the hunger games." Reuben stated. "It'll be good though."

"I do like that movie." I added.

Reuben smiled. "Then tonight should be even better than I expected."

"It's going to be awesome." I grinned.

We spent the rest of the drive just talking about random things, and it was actually really fun. Reuben had a pretty cool Mom, if I do say so myself. By the time we arrived at the park where the movie was being shown, I was having such a good time that I wasn't sure if I wanted to leave. Reuben negotiated a pick up time, before we were dropped off.

"So I figured we could get some dinner or something first...considering that the movie doesn't start for an hour and it's dinnertime."

I smiled and nodded. "That sounds awesome."
