"Link, we may have a problem."

Link looked up from his computer and over to me. "What's wrong?"

"You know Cooper's bucket list?" I asked.

"Mhm?"

"She wanted to go to a concert. But none of her bands are playing. Anywhere." I sighed.

"Write them an email." Link suggested.

"You're serious?"

"Yeah, totally. Write them. Explain Cooper's case, and how it would be such a big help if they could hold just one show." Link said. "I'll do it if you don't want to."

"I dunno Link..."

"What's the worst they could say?" Link asked. "Come on, there's no harm in friendly asking. And it's for a good cause."

I found the Imagine Dragons website, and found their contact details of their manager. He's probably the one I need to be speaking to. I opened a new message, put my fingers on the keyboard to type, but paused.

"What should I say?" I asked.

Link considered with a moment. "Start with explaining a bit about Cooper, and her time outside the hospital, that leads to the bucket list, which leads to the concert, and them being her favourite band, ask them."

"Yeah, okay." I said. I began typing the email. I attached a picture of Cooper with Link and I at the hospital.

Dear Mr Stevens,

My name is Rhett McLaughlin, and I am the tall man standing to the right in the attached photograph. The girl in the middle. Her name is Cooper Greene. And she is the reason for my email today.

Cooper has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. She is not expected to live past Christmas. She is currently staying at my house with my family in LA as she is on a break from chemotherapy to build her strength back up. Her family was killed on a car crash on the highway about 2 months ago.

The night she arrived at my house, Cooper was crying. I went in, and asked her what was wrong. She was crying because she was scared that she wasn't going to be able to do all the things she wanted in her life.

So I asked her to make a bucket list.

One of the biggest things on her list, was to go to a concert. Her favourite band just so happens to be the one that you manage.

I know it would be a big ask, but my friend and I are trying as hard as we can to make these weeks outside the hospital really special for her, so, we were wondering, could you hold one concert? It would really make her happy, and we're really trying to make these few weeks memorable

Please get back to me with your reply,

Sincerely,

Rhett McLaughlin.

I read the email out to Link and he smiled. "Yeah, send it."

I did it quickly and closed the browser. I was really nervous that they'd say no. What was I supposed to do instead? The only concert that was playing was Miley Cyrus, and I'm pretty sure Cooper wouldn't want to see that...and I wouldn't WANT her seeing that.

"Dude, stop panicking." Link said, looking at me weirdly. "Calm down. Please."

"I just want this to be nice for her." I sighed.

"I know you do, man. So do I. It makes me wonder why we're not with her." Link pondered.

"Because she's very persuasive and demanded that we go because we had videos to make." I said, thinking back to this morning, where the whole 10 minutes we were there were spent trying to get us back here to make videos.
