Problems are just a distraction from happiness.

I kept repeating the lines of Lisa. If you're wondering who Lisa is, she is my new best friend; actually my fictional friend from the book,"Live a rich death". I know it sounds lame but it's hard to make myself believe that she is not real. She and I share a lot in common, to the point where I can call her my soul sister.

But her life was completely different from mine; actually much worse. She was throwed out by her mom when she was young, lived in the slums, got into wrong hands, and got used by her boyfriend. Name a worst situation and she's been through it all. And yet she survived; not just survived but lived!

But what made me attracted to her is her motto, 'When you don't wanna live anymore, take a chance to live the way you thought you didn't want to. You might be surprised to like where it gets you. And if you don't, you could always take the first option and just die.'

I lived all my life the I way I wanted to. Nope, scratch that. I lived the way my family taught me was right, and convinced me that it was what I wanted. Clearly I don't like where it got me. So why not try living the way I believed I didn't want to?

"Sam can we go out tonight?" I asked Sam who laid flat on the bed, editing pictures in her laptop. She stopped and rolled over to face me.

She stared at me for a while. "Ok who are you and what have you done to my friend?"

I rolled my eyes. "Stop being so dramatic."

"I'm being dramatic? It's not that I face this miracle everyday!"

I sighed. "I just thought it would be nice to go out for a change, you know. We never really went out anywhere."

"Are you serious?"

I nodded.

She squealed in joy and hugged me. "I was beginning to worry you wouldn't want to take a step out of this damn house. But I still can't believe this. So who is the miracle worker that worked the magic? Let me guess, Dan?"

"Lisa."

She looked confused. "Who's that? Don't tell me you're hallucinating people now."

I showed her my book, "My new friend."

"Friend? What did she do?"

"She just told me to go die or go out and live."

She glared at me.

"Since I'm clearly not allowed to exercise the first option, I thought I would try the second. If that doesn't go well, I always have another option right?" I winked.

She gritted her teeth, "It's not funny."

"I thought it was," I gave her a weak smile but her expression didn't changed. "Sorry."
