Michael's POV:

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

The clock ticked away making an annoying noise that showed me just how slow the time moved. Actually that wasn't true at all. Because if there had been any noise, I would have at least got something to concentrate on but seemed like Daniel's stupid room didn't even have a wall clock in it. What kind of a human being was he?!

I sighed and pulled my phone from under my pillow. It read 3:49. At least the time had moved forward a minute from the last ten times I had checked it. Just as I was about to open the gallery and pass my time till sleep overtook me, a heavy load fell on my stomach making me groan. "Uff! Stupid Daniel!"

How the hell did Sam manage to bear his weight? His hand alone weighed a ton! But maybe he would have other ideas for his hands than just laying it on top of her. Yuck! I shuddered at the thought of it. Very bad! Very very bad thoughts Mikey! And to think that I was lying in the same bed as they both did was truly disturbing even for me! For a moment the image of Daniel snuggling upto me thinking that I was Sam crossed my mind and I shuddered involuntarily. That would be the worst nightmare ever!

As if he had heard my thoughts, Daniel snuggled up a little closer to me and I screamed. Like literally screamed in a high pitched tone I would be very embarrassed of but not even that could make him awake. I stirred a bit and tried to pry his hands off me but in vain. Groaning, I gave up and turned towards my phone.

The gallery was the place I passed my time in. I flicked through the photos one by one hoping to keep myself entertained for the remaining waking hours. I scrolled through the photos until I ended up in the album of pictures from my old phone. Those were the pictures of Sam and I when we were younger along with all those stuff that she sent to me from India.

Being a natural photographer as she was, you could only imagine how many pictures she would have sent me even in an era where technology was not even that advanced. I chuckled at the thought of little Sammy trying to get Brian to pose for her. She told me that he was the hardest one to get to pose for her whereas the douchebag called 'Nathan' who ruined Cath's life was the one who was always ready for it.

I should have known that he was bad omen for them with the amount of time he seemed to have spent with them. But then I had brushed off my feelings towards him as over possessiveness towards my best friend. From the way Sam had talked about him, he was far too perfect to be real. Sam couldn't describe even Brian in such a perfect light.
