Sam's POV:

With the possessiveness spreading through my heart like a vine, I stomped my way towards them. If the hard sound of my heel colliding with the floor wasn't evident enough to show that I was boiling inside, at least my stoic face should have been. But there they stood in that position, unaware of my presence, for time more than necessary if I might say so.

Slowly he lifted her back up, still with that happy smile on his face. No traces of the worry or agitation that Harry had told me was visible on his face. She stood up on her own and straightened her skirt, with an equally sickening sweet smile.

Muttering all kinds of curses under my breath, I quickened my pace towards them but the heel wasn't helping me. But then something stopped me. The conversation we had last night fleeted right before my eyes. The way his green eyes were filled with insecurity, the way he kissed me with passion and need. That said it all. He would never leave me. Not for her. Not for anyone.

Chuckling at how stupid I was for a moment, I hit myself at the back of myself. I walked towards them with a new found confidence and a wide grin on my lips. "Daniel!"

His green eyes drifted to mine and it brightened immediately. "Sam?" He sounded a bit surprised, like he hadn't expected me to be here. Maybe he really didn't since he never told me about it in the first place. "What are you doing here?"

"I thought you were going to pick me up?" I looked at him confused.

His smile vanished as soon as it appeared. "Oh."

"Yeah, so I tried calling you but Harry said that you were busy. So I just thought of coming by on my own."

"I had work." That was all he said. I frowned. What was with him and his mood swings today? The three of us stood in awkward silence and I regretted ever coming here in the first place.
