************Cath's POV:
The house was really dark by the time I reached it. Lucky for me. Maybe Daniel had slept already? I tiptoed my way over the lawn, and finally reached the door. An uneasy feeling settled within me as I gazed around the dark road, but nothing seemed to be around.
I let out a sigh in relief, and pulled out the extra key from my bag. The door slid open with a eerie noise. Okay, that was not creepy at all. I gulped, and entered the hall, tiptoeing all the way in, before shutting the door behind me.
"Took you long enough!" A bold voice spoke and I screamed. The lights turned on to show a very angry looking Daniel sitting on the headrest of the couch.
"Jesus! You scared me!" I placed my hand over my heart as my breathing slowed down. "Why do you keep doing that?"
"Maybe if you didn't have a reason to be scared you wouldn't be."
"What would I have to be scared of?" I walked away to the kitchen. I didn't want him to look at my face, and tell me a million things that I could be scared of, but he followed me anyway.
"You tell me." He leant against the counter, and crossed his arms against his chest. I remained silent. What else could I tell him. He sighed, and pushed himself off the counter. "Where were you?"
"I was at t-the uh.." My mind immediately transported me to the green meadow. Could I tell him without giving anything away?
"Don't think about lying to me. I could figure you out." He glared at me.
Yes, he could, but I was getting better at this game, and there was no way to back out of it now without ruining everything. "I was at the park."
"The park?" He frowned. "What job do you have there when we were having the life of our dreams bestowed upon us?"
I sighed and looked away. "I needed some air. It was getting so overwhelming to stand there amongst people I haven't even met before."
He smiled lightly. "I understand." But the smile vanished away the very next second. "But that doesn't mean that you could just be up and away. Do you know how I was worried? I went crazy for you searching for this place. That's when Zorro told me you had plans that I didn't know of."
My heart lumped in my throat. "A-And?"
"Why didn't you tell me that you were going out with Michael."
"Michael?" I frowned.
He sighed, and ran a hand through his hair. "If Michael hadn't told me that you were going to meet him, I would have ran out of there like a mad man, and that would have made another awesome headline!"
"He did?" I blinked to make sure that I heard right. Was Michael covering up for me? Why would he when he didn't even know I was getting away?
He scanned my face, and I tried not to squirm.
"Yes, he said that you were gonna take him out on a date. So did you?" He raised his eyebrows like he was assessing my reaction.
