Daniel's POV:
My eyes fell on the bulge on my shirt pocket. Sam's phone. I pulled it out and unlocked the phone. The blurred image focused into a clear one. What the hell? My body froze as I tried to comprehend the image in front of my eyes.
What the hell?Veronica was pressed up against a wall smirking at me as she had her finger trail up on my arm. I was too close to her, with my body pressed against her and my hand up on her neck. How could this happen?
"Hey, show it to me. I wanna see it too." Blake grabbed the phone from my hand before I could stop him. He frowned. "Is that Veronica? When did you get together with her?" He then grinned. "Wait! This is actually better than the picture with the fangirl. I bet Sam must have been livid. Great job man!" He put his arm over my neck, pulling me into a headlock.
I pushed him off. He tumbled before he fell onto the bed. "Chill bro!" He groaned. "I just got carried away by your brains. When did you think of this anyway? I could have given a hand you know." He grinned. "The lighting is all bad, and we can hardly make out your face. You should know that I am a splendid photographer that even the French are jealous of."
I glared at him. "I didn't plan any of this."
"Oh." He frowned and zoomed the picture. "I can see that. See, it's all blurred and wavy. That's the sign of an amateur photographer. Unlike me. I would have.."
"DON'T YOU GET IT?!" I screamed. "I DIDN'T PLAN ANY OF THIS! I DIDN'T KNOW VERONICA WAS EVEN GOING TO BE THERE LET ALONE TAKE A PICTURE WITH HER!" I grimaced in disgust. I would die before I even think about taking a picture with her.
Anybody would have been startled by my outburst; anybody except for Blake. He simply shrugged like I had recited him the daily news and continued to scroll through Sam's phone. "If you didn't plan it, then who took it?"
I ran a hand through my hair. "I don't know. This was probably taken on our first promotional concert when I went looking for Sam, and clashed into Veronica." Could it have been the paparazzi? Seeing that everybody 'loved' the drama with Veronica earlier, I wouldn't be surprised. But how did they know Sam's number? And why would anyone want to send it to her anyway?
Blake remained silent for a while, uncharacteristic of himself. His eyes remained focused on the mobile screen before he glared at me. "If you didn't plan that, then what about this one?"
He handed the phone back to me. The serious look on his face made me hesitate a second before I grabbed the phone. The screen displayed a video. A video? I frowned. If someone could take a picture of me without my knowledge, I am not sure what could have been captured in the video, especially something that could even turn Blake serious.
With a heavy heart, I sighed, and pressed the play button. And for the second time of the day, I found myself saying, "What the hell?!"
***********************
I always thought slow motions didn't occur in real life. But the moment I pressed the play button everything seemed to slow down. The phone slid down my sweaty hands, and fell to the ground, splitting into three parts. I barely noticed Blake rush towards it and pick it up before he shook my shoulders.
