Michael's POV:

The loud shriek of a girl screaming jolted my body and I pulled myself up from my sleepy state, pushing the blanket away from my head. "Wh-Wha-What?" I blinked a couple of times as my eyes had to adjust to the new white light and my legs to the sudden movement of my body.

There stood Catherine next to the switch board near the door. Her eyes were wide and her skin pale, drained of blood. My heart began racing fast and I took a step forward to ask her what horrified her to such levels. But then I remembered the ways her words hurt me and I stopped myself.

"What happened?" I blocked my voice out of any emotions so that I wouldn't slip up.

She stared at me for a while with the same shocked expression on her face but she didn't seem scared as much. When she didn't seem like she was going to say anything, I snapped my fingers in front of her face. She snapped out of her thoughts. "Uh.. I j-just got s-scared." Her voice shook a little.

"Wh-" My voice was thick and raspy from the short nap that I had taken on the couch. So I coughed a little to clear my throat. "Why?" Trust me, because it was not due to the awkward feel of fighting between the need to cuddle her and also stay away from her.

No! I can very well control myself, thank you very much. My eyes immediately drifted to her soft pink lips that slightly trembled with the fear she was probably feeling. I was mesmerised by the way those two tinges of pink petals were moving. But why were they when- My eyes widened at what I had been thinking and I looked up at her eyes trying to distract myself from that really attractive and irresistible- No! I wont think of that!
