Cath's POV:They say that two girls together make a great deal of drama. I bet those who said that have not watched two boys bicker over the smallest of the things before and it wasn't a great sight at all. In fact it was rather unappealing and frustrating to say the least.
Currently we were in the park; the one where I had an emotional reunion with Brian. He and I were seated on a bench staring at the geese flopping their wings. It was a beautiful sight and we were having a peaceful moment, relaxing in the comfortable silence between us. It had been a while since we had this sort of a calmness between us and there was no void to be filled. It was just calm, serene and peaceful.
That is, until it was disturbed by the bickering noise of two boys running in my direction with each having a hand full of different popcorns, candies and whatnots. James pushed Michael a little as he had speed walked a few steps ahead of him and Michael dashed him back. The two soon began running towards us, chasing away the poor birds in the process. Thank God that they were not hurt but those two didn't seem to mind any of that and it annoyed me to the core.
"I was here first loser!" Michael smirked at James.
"You tripped me!" James dusted the dirt off his blue shirt and glared at him.
"You shoved me. Makes it even." Michael rolled his eyes and sat beside me, with his arm around my shoulder. James's eyes travelled to where his hand touched my shoulder and gritted his teeth. Michael smirked and leaned closer to me. For some reason it made me uncomfortable since Brian was sitting right next to me and I didn't want to indulge in public display of affection in front of my brother and ex fiancé. That would be awkward to the next level. So I pulled Michael's arm away to which he frowned.
"You pushed me first, and stop trying to be a child. Nobody is going to care." James smirked at him. Maybe he was relieved that Michael wasn't touching me anymore? That thought just made me feel annoyed but I controlled myself not to let it out. I was in public and I didn't want to create a scene again.
"Are you still talking about me? Cause it really sounds like we're talking about you."
"Why you!" James snarled but Brian interrupted him. "James! Can you please remain quiet for some time?"
"But he.."
"No buts. You're not a kid. So can you at least pretend to be a little matured adult even if you can't be one." Brian muttered and shook his head, just when his phone began ringing. "I have to get this. Behave yourself. Both of you." He glared at them before walking away with his phone.
