"True happiness is singing at the top of your lungs in your car while the people in the car next to you are staring."

Cath's POV:

I checked my bag if I had all the essentials as I walked down the stairs. Michael laid on the couch with his hands behind his head and his legs crossed on the hand rest. His gaze shifted from the TV to me as I descended down.

"You ready to go?" He straightened up to a sitting position and smiled at me.

"Yes, just a second." I gestured my index finger at him and walked to the kitchen. Sam swirled round on the counter chair as she sipped on her coffee and read the newspaper.

She almost spit it out when she saw me. "OMG! I totally forgot!" She face palmed herself and dropped the things in her hand on the table. "Just give me 5 minutes and I'll be ready." She climbed down the chair in a swift motion and ran towards the kitchen door.

"About that", I started. She stopped in her track to have a look at me.

"Michael said he would take me to college today." I scratched the back of my neck and looked away. Should I be the one telling her this?

"Ooh." She drawled and looked at me up and down with an amused smile. "And you're okay with it?"

"Why wouldn't I be?" I shrugged, hoping that she would just let it go.

She raised her eyebrows and tapped her index finger on her chin like she was thinking. "A few days ago, someone begged me not to leave her alone with Michael. Maybe I just dreamed it all. It's strange how you look exactly like her." She gave a dramatic gasp.

"Stop teasing." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm happy that you've made your decision on your own." She walked back to her chair and slouched on the table.

"I'll go only if you're okay with it", I said. What if she had got upset that I didn't ask her first?

She blinked at me like I had gone mad. "Okay? That's fabulous. Saves me a ride and a lot of time." She chuckled.

"See you later then." I grinned and ran out of the kitchen.

"Feeling excited?" Michael smirked, leaning on the entrance doorway with his arms crossed against his chest.

I shook my head, smiling and walked passed him. We got into his car and drived out of the place. Michael glanced at me every once in awhile and smiled.

"What?" I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion. "Do I look funny?"

He chuckled and shook his head. "No, it's just strange."

"What?" I looked at myself in the side mirror. No, nothing seemed strange. I looked okay, a little better than usual, I might say so myself.

"Not you. I meant us. We have been alone in my car for like 10 minutes and we still haven't fought or yelled at each other yet. Doesn't it feel weird?"

I chuckled this time. "Yeah, it is." I nodded. "But a good kind of weird."

"Really?" He grinned wide and looked at me.

I narrowed my eyes at him and studied his face. "You really enjoy yourself too much, don't you?"

He chuckled and nodded. "You have no idea." I smiled and looked out the window.
