"So.." Ruby drawled as she seductively whipped her hair to one side. "What is this 'thing' between us?"
"There is a thing between us?" I smirked and laid back on my chair.
She rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean!"
"And what exactly is that?"
She groaned, clearly irritated with my attitude. "What the eff is going on between us? Clearly the sweet nothings you whisper in my ears are not for nothing right? You know that I am really not.."
"Not looking for a relationship right now. I know darling." I smiled and lit the cigar in my mouth.
"So you don't want me?" She asked confused.
I grinned and shook my head. "You've got the wrong idea." I knew my non committal answers were getting at her nerves. She was the kind of girl who loves attention and would do anything to get it. And I am the type of guy who would.. well make you want to get my attention and that was exactly what I was doing.
"What?!" She shrieked and pulled my tie making me move forward towards her. "So you don't feel anything for me?" She drawled slowly.
"So you don't feel anything for him?" I retorted back.
Her eyes widened and she sighed, pulling herself back from me. "H-He doesn't like me anymore!"
"So he liked you before?" I raised my eyebrows in a calm manner but I knew that she was getting agitated by my words.
"Yes he did! Before that b*tch Catherine came in to steal him away." Her voice was filled with venom.
My jaw twitched and I tightened my grip on the chair handle to control my anger. I had the right to command Catherine all that I wanted because she was mine. And she wasn't the bitchy kind that's why I liked her. But Ruby had no right to say that about her.
If you'd ask me then why did I do what I did, its kind of hard to explain. Sometimes you have to do things that you don't want to if you want everything to be back in control. If only she didn't go against my word..
