Chapter 2

"Welcome in our hospital Ms. Velasco we are very priviliged that you choose our hospital as your new home." Pagwelcome sakin ni Mrs. Garcia. Ang Chief Med Tech sa Hospital.

"Im also priviliged and honored to be part of the institute Mrs. Garcia." Nakangiti kong sabi.

"I know this way too far from what you have in LA but i hope hindi kayo magsisi that you chose to work here."

"Well since its my first time to work in a hosptal medyo naninibago din po ako. Its been 5 years since nung intern ko sa hospital but dont wory ill do my very best to serve the people wuth great quality."

"I know you will ijah. So goodluck and if you have problems in the lab just ask me." Sabi ni Mrs. Garcia at umalis na.

Pumunta naman ako sa post ko to meet the med tech that ill be working with. Pagpasok na pagpasok ko pa lang isang kilalang kilala kong tao ang bumungad sakin.

"Chiara?" Napatingin siya sakin at halatang nagulat.

"O my ghad! Rhian!" She suddenly hugged me.

Kung hindi lang kami siguro nandito sa Lab kanina pa kami nag iingay.

"Ikaw nga Rhian. Long time no see!" She's trying to control her excitement.

"Yeah. My gosh! Kamusta ka na?" i asked.

"Im fine, ikaw? Ang laki ng pinagbago mo. Is this how LA affected you?"

I laughed.

"Maybe, iba ang buhay ko sa LA than here."

"Grabe! Ngayon nakita na kita hindi pwede hindi tayo magchikahan kaya after ng duty natin mag uusap tayo. Perhaps a dinner in my pad!"

"Sure! Ill be glad."

Hindi ko iniexpect na magkikita uli kami ni Chiara. I thought nandun parin siya sa Korea nagtatrabaho as also a Med Tech.

After ng duty namin ay agad kaming pumunta sa Pad niya.

"I really cant believe na magkikita tayo, after kasi nung nakapasa tayo ng board exam hindi ka na namin nakita."

Bumalik sakin ang lahat nang dahil sa sinabi niya. That was the time that I ended my relationship with Raine. Pinipilit kong itago ang lungkot ko ang just smiled at her.

"Agad kasing naapprove ang visa ko and my sister is very excited kaya agad akong lumipad." Sabi ko at yumuko.

"I see. Even Raine hindi na namin siya nakita."

Agad akong napatingin sakanya.

"We thought na sumunod siya sayo since you two were still together that time kay Sarah lang namin nalaman that you two broke up." Dagdag pa niya.

I bit my lower lip. Pinipigilan kong umiyak reminiscing the past. All my stupidity.

"S-orry." Biglang sabi ni Chiara.

"I-ts okay... siguro talagang ganun ang fate naming dalawa." I said them drank that wine in front of me.

"Hind lang kasi namin iniexpect na maghihiwalay kayo, i mean in our college days you two were a great couple."

I just smiled at her.

Nakakapanghinayang naman talaga eh kung hindi lang ako naging selfish edi sana walang problema.

Pagkatapos naming magdinner ni Chiara i decided to go to a bar. Vanity Club.

Parang gusto kong makalimot sa lahat ng bumalik sakin ngayong araw. Ang OA man pero talagang hindi pa ako nakaka move on.

"One vodka straight please." Sabi ko sa bartender.

Agad ko yung ininom nung binigay niya sakin at umorder ulit hanggang sa hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang baso ang ininom ko.

You cant blaim me from drinking. Pinaparusahan ko ang sarili ko from hurting raine. He is my first love that i also thought would be my last.

But i wasted it. Dahil hindi ako nag iisip.

Chris caling...

"Hello hik..."

(Rhian where are you?! Wait-- are you drunk?!)

"Hehe... yeah i guess! Hik Why dont you join me here... My treat! Hik."

(Sh!t where are you?! Pupuntahan kita!)

"Im here in Vanity Club... such nice place ya know... hehe"

Then i hang up the phone.

Im screwed at the same time wasted but i can still manage and think clearly.

After a few more drinks Chris arrived. Agad niyang kinuha sa kamay ko ang baso ng gin.

"Huwaaaat are you doinggg?????"

Im trying to reach his hand.

"You have enough Rhian." He said.

Humarap na lang ako sa bartender at nag order ulit.

"I said you have enough!" Then again he stole my drink.

"Ano bang problema mo?! Cant you see im drinking!" I burst out.

Kahit nahihilo ako i still managed to stand up.

"Youre drunk Rhian."

Am i???

"No." Pagmamatigas ko.

"We are going home."

"You go home chris." I said at tumalikod sakanya but suddenly...

"Chris put me down!!!"

He carried me out the bar. Pinapalo ko ang braso niya para mabitawan ako but he is too strong and im tipsy.

"I said put me down!!!"

Then he did when we reach my car.

"Why cant you just let me do what i want?! Bakit ka ba nangengealam?!?!"

He just stared at me.

"Cant you see that im busy punishing myself because of my own doing!!!!"

Then tears fall down my face.

"Araw araw kong pinagsisisihan ang araw na iniwan ko siya. That i gave him up for this stupid dream! Na sana pareho ko na lan silang pinili! Na sana baguhan ko lahat ng pinagplanuhan namin ng kapatid ko! Sana isinama ko na lang siya pero hindi eh! Sinaktan ko siya! The pain that he cant bear!"

Napaupo ako sa gilid ng kotse ko.

"I love him... so much." I whispered.

Then suddenly i felt the warm arms around me.

"Shhh. Stop crying Rhin."

"I hate myself from leaving him. I loathe myself from losing him!" I sobbed.

"Its not your fault Rhin. Its your own decision."

"And it break him. I broke his heart."

Chris cupped my face and wipe my tears.

"Hindi mo lahat kasalanan Rhin. Bumitaw din siya sayo at let you leave. Its not you fault alone."

"But im the reason why he didnt fought for us."

"Just stop blaming yourself Rhiana!!! Move on!!!" He shouted at my face.

Then the next thing happened was all blurry and dark....
