Chapter 36

Raine POV

"Bro zup! Kamusta trabaho?" Tanong ni Kuya sa Live Skype.

"Its great as always, but im not here in Italy right now."

Yes im still in Los Angeles. Halos isang linggo na simula nung nagkita ulit kami ni Rhian. I still cant believe na nagkita ulit kami for almost 2 years.

And i admit... i still have these feelings for her.

"Oh! Dont tell ms lumipat ka nanaman? Hoy Raine ha hindi ito bakasyon na kung saan saan ka lang pupunta. Pag ito nalaman nina Mommy--"

"Kuya relax, im here for a seminar" i cut him.

Natahimik naman siya.

"Ahh.. akala ko naman kung nasiraan ka na talaga ng ulo." Sabi niya na lang at napailing ako.

I move my way carrying my laptop near the glass wall of my hotel room where you can see the great view of the city especially at night.

"Oh ganda diyan ah. Asan ka ba?" Tanong ni Kuya.

"Well you wouldnt believe where and... what happened few days ago."

"Hmm.. so my thrill ang buhay mo jan?" Tsk. Loko loko talaga kahit kailan. Nagbiro pa!

"First of everything im in California, in Los Angeles exactly."

"Wow the place of you past, ganda yan."

"And that's the other thing... nagkita kami."

Agad siyang nasamid.

"What?!?!?!"

"Yeah... i saw Rhian few days ago. We bump in with each other at a curve downtown." I explained.

"Totoo?! Nahanap mo na siya?! Eh anong nangyari? May sparks ba? May kilig? May... love is sweeter the second time around?"

"Tss.."

"Ay oo nga pala THIRD time pala dapat." Abat talagang winasto pa niya at pinamukha!

"Actually se didnt talk that much. Nagmamadali siyang umalis eh."

"Ouch naman tol. So hindi kayo nagreconcile?" He asked.

"Kuya its not that easy. Dalawang taon din ang nasayang namin and the years before that. Ang hirap sabihin kung saan ako pwedeng magsimula."

"Nako tol baka naman kasi hindi na siya interesado at nag move on na lang."

Hindi naman ako nakapagsalita and glared at him.

"Eto naman hindi mabiro. Baka naman kasi nashock lang siya."

I sighed.

"But still im not giving up until she comes back to me. I do whatever it takes even how hard it is."

Rhiana POV

"Bye Doc!" My secretary bid for a goodbye.

"See you!" i waved back.

Finally makakapagpahinga na din ako! 2 days din kasi akong nag overtime kaya naman pinyagan akong mag off hanggang bukas. Talagang matutulog ako buong araw!

"Aih Doc wait!!" Habol sakin ng secretary ko.

Argh! Off duty na ko eh!

"Fille im going home." Sabi ko.

"B-but someone wants to see you Doctor."

Napataas naman ako ng kilay.

"Who?" Dont tell client nanaman. Oh gosh! I want to cuddle with my bed!

"I guess it is waiting for you outside the hospital Doctor."

"Okay." Atsaka ako nagmadaling lumakad palabas.

And there i saw nothing but one person. And i didnt expect that it will be him.

"Hi!" He waved at me.

At first nagulat pa ako at natigilan but when he smiled i just smiled back.

Agad naman akong lumapit sakanya.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I asked.

Sino pa ba to, edi si Raine. I thought he already went home where he lives this days.

"To be honest ngayon sana ang flight ko pabalik ng Italy but... i realized something."

Napalunok ako sa sinabi niya. Biglang kinabahan ako na ewan.

"You realized what?"

"That I... still didnt get to see California."

Napangiwi ako sa sinabi niya.

"I mean hindi pa kasi ako nakapamasyal dito you know as a tourist i should see everything that this country has to offer beside my two weeks pa naman para maexpire ang visa ko so i decided to use it and also--"

"So saan patutunguhan itong usapang to?" I asked.

Hindi naman sa sinusupladahan ko siya o nagiging bitter ako pero sobrang mahalaga lang kasi sakin ang oras. I should be resting right now!

"Well im hoping that you can show me around, you know as my tour guide."

Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi niya. Mukha ba akong tour guide?! Abat!

"Look Raine kung hindi mamasamain eh dapat ngayon ay nagpapahinga ako from work and wala naman akong time na samahan ka eh. I still have work." Sabi ko at aalis na sana nang bigla niya akong hawakan sa kamay.

Dug...dug...

"Im not asking for today but im hoping one of this days before i go home pumayag ka. Atleast consider my request as your..." he paused.

Napaiwas siya ng tingin. I can now feel awkwardness in the both of us.

"You know what nevermind. Sorry for disturbing you." He smiled. Pero may halong lungkot ang mga yun.

Then he slowly turned and walk away.

"Wait!" Tawag ko.

Lumingon naman siya. I walk towards him.

"Fine, this weekend. Wait me in the lobby of the hotel where you are staying. Emerald Crest right?"

"Yeah. How did--"

"Dont assume too much Raine. I just thought about it since yun lang naman ang isang hotel na malapit where we met fea days ago." Hindi na ko stalker no! Matagal na yun college pa!

Tumango na lang.

"Sige." Then i walk pass by him.

"Rhian!" Tawag niya sakin.

Lumingon naman ako.

"Thank you." Then he smiled.

I just smiled back at nagpatuloy sa paglalakad.
