PART 2 - JUNIOR YEAR

Chapter 31

"It's junior year!" I screeched and jumped on Dylan's back.

Dylan chuckled, "I've never seen you so excited for school before. Why did you decide to come back anyway?"

"Are you kidding? I'm only doing my singing career on my free time. My main concentration is to graduate high school. I can't leave all my friends and classmates now because I have a singing career. My story at this school isn't over yet. There is so much more that I want to do here."

"And what are some of those things?" he asked me, amused, "Because if you think about it you've already covered bullying, singing, and writing."

I smiled, "This year I want to join a sports team and I want to go to the prom and for the first time ever I want to get straight A's in all my classes."

"Then I will help you do all of that."

"Really?" I asked him.

He held my hand tightly as we walked into the school, "Yes and I will be mad if you take anyone else to prom."

I giggled, "I promise not to take anyone else to prom."

"What sports team do you want to join?"

I shrugged, "I haven't figured that out yet. What do you think?"

"What exercises do you like to do?"

"Maybe I could join the cross country team. I do run on the treadmill a lot at home."

"I think that would be a good team for you. I'll go to every meet."

"Thank you," I kissed his cheek, "What are your goals for this year?"

"I want to enjoy this year. The first year I was friends with the bullies, the second I was the mystery guy, and this year I want to have a good year. That's enough for me."

"I like that idea."

We got to our lockers and he waited for me to open mine, "When are try outs?"

"I think they're today," I answered.

"I'll stay and watch then take you home after."

I smiled, "Sounds like a plan. What's first class?"

"English."

"Any friends we have it with?" I asked.

"I think just Maria."

I nodded, "Sweet. How many classes do we have together again?"

He chuckled, "Four. You're so forgetful."

I laughed, "I can't help it." I grabbed the books I needed and we went to Dylan's locker.

"How is the wedding planning going?" Dylan asked.

"They haven't gotten far yet. They're both busy with their movie and their music. Lolita knows exactly what she wants it to look like, but they can't plan anything else until they pick a date."

He shook his head, "Your brother is a procrastinator."

"I know right?" I laughed. "He's worse than me. He keeps telling her that they will pick a date after the craziness of the movie goes down, but hopefully Lolita yells at him soon and picks a date herself."

Dylan chuckled, "It would get done faster."

"That's for sure." We walked to class and sat next to Maria.
