Chapter 64

"Did Dylan tell you I'm performing at prom?"

"Yes! Did he tell you anything else?"

She smiled, "Yes but I swore I wouldn't tell."

"Ugh," I groaned, "Are you kidding me?!"

She laughed, "Kayla, Dylan is trying to make up for last year."

"I know but I'm impatient."

"Then let me get your mind off it. David and I were talking and we are officially getting married in a year."

"Really?"

She nodded, "We've been thinking about it and by next year everything should be a calmed down and our team agreed to leave us a year without any plans for new projects. That gives David and I that entire year to get married, go on our honeymoon, and figure out our next step."

"That's amazing Lolita," I hugged her. "I'm really happy for you and David. You're a cute couple and David deserves someone as amazing as you."

"Thanks Kay. We'll officially be sisters after that day."

"I'm so excited! I can call you my sister at the wedding."

"Can you believe all the time that's gone by?" She asked.

"I know," I replied, "It's been two years since we met. I'm in the 12th grade and we met when I was in the 10th grade. You saved me, and so did David."

"Now we're best friends," she smiled, "and I wouldn't have it any other way. You're a remarkable person."

"So are you," I told her.

"Should we get going?" she asked.

"Probably," I nodded, "My next class starts in 30 minutes and it'll take at least 10 to get back to school with this traffic."

"True," we both stood up from the table.

Lolita's bodyguard drove me back to school and dropped me off. I waved goodbye to Lolita and met Dylan in class. "How was lunch with Lolita?" He asked.

"Great! Did you know her and David picked out a date?"

"That's great."

"You're still going to be my date right?"

"Obviously," he smiled, "David did ask me to be in the wedding too. Did she tell you anything else?"

"Sadly, she said she was promised not to say anything."

He grinned, "Perfect."

"You knew I would ask her," I whined.

"I know you," he nodded. "Did you know Maria and Anastasia said they were providing all the food for the Danes Over Bullying meeting this weekend?"

I groaned, "You're changing the subject."

"And David is bringing his camera."

"Dylan," I whined.

"Kayla, relax. Maybe I'll give you one clue."

"Really?! What is it?"

"Hmm," he thought.

"Please?!"

He chuckled, "Okay. The video David's filming is related to me asking you to prom."

"How?"

"That was your clue," he shook his head.

"That's it?" He nodded.

Class started before I could respond and I was distracted thinking about his clue. David is making a video and Dylan's using the video to ask me to prom? What is he possibly planning? What kind of video is it? It's still months away from prom so I don't know what video would take that long, especially if it's only for our prom. I looked over at Dylan a few times and he smiled. He knows I'm still thinking about it and he knows I can't figure it out. After school got out Dylan went with me back to my house to have dinner with my family. One day a week my parents come over and my mom makes dinner. It's part of their rules with me living on my own.
