As I awoke the next morning a wave of exhaustion and stupidity washed over me as I thought back to the events that occured last night. I had successfully gained a strangers trust then lost it again, had drank to the point of me being oblivious of my actions and cried infront of my dad excessively all in the space of 24 hours.
I sat up from my bed pulling the duvet away from me it sticking against me. Still with last nights clothes on I stumbled out of bed avoiding my reflection in the mirror. I looked horrific. Standing up straight I felt a clump of undigested food in the back of my throat coming back up. I heaved and ran to the bathroom it pouring out of my mouth uncontollably. I leant on the edge of the toilet seat for support.
The bathroom door swung open and it was dad. 'Jesus Lana. Come here.' he said from behind removing my hair from my face. Tears built back into my eyes as I stood up straight facing him. He stared at me worringly. 'What happened last night?!' I stood silently putting my head to the floor. 'Can I just have a shower and then we can talk?' 'Ok' he said in response handing me a towel.
I showered for over an hour massaging my hair getting rid of the sick, throughly cleaning myself up in a complete daze. Getting out I brushed my teeth hard and violently determined to get the stale hot dog breath and vodka taste out of my mouth. Walking back into my room I blow dryed my hair straightening it on a low heat. Putting my blue jeans and white t-shirt on I dashed downstairs.
Billy was nowhere to be found while Dad was sitting on the porch with breakfast layed out. I sat opposite him,the wind blowing through my hair. 'I cooked eggs and pancakes. Your mom said it was your favourite' I smiled because he was being so kind while I was acting like a spoilt brat. Tucking in he laughed observing me demolish half of it without saying a word. Eating was my favourite hobbie.
'So.. are you pregnant?' I froze while sipping my milk choking on it in response. 'NO..NO I AM NOT.' He gazed back. 'Well you never know these days..' 'Dad..no.. i'm not.' 'Good' he said whilist patting my shoulder. I decided it was time to let him know. 'Well I went to the fayre last night. Met a couple..they gave me alcohol and I kissed the girl's boyfriend.' 'Oh..I'm sure you've done wilder things lana?'
'Umm.. and how would you know?' I piped up my voice being a little louder then before. 'Lana..listen' I interrupted him mid flow. 'Ya know what? You know nothing about me..SCREW YOU' and walked away heading into the distance. I didnt come back when he called my name. I just carried on walking. To where? I didn't have a clue .
