As my eyes were transfixed to the ceiling,my body tossed and turned as my duvet continuously slipped off me. Peering across to my phone on the dressing table the time read '05:00am.' I sighed. I'd found myself thinking about the most irrelevant things... like.. what would we be having for breakfast or what liam was doing at this very moment. Thoughts of this nature had kept me up all night.
Wrapping the duvet back around me I closed my eyes and found myself in a somewhat light sleep until my phone buzzed.. I grabbed it in frustration swiping the lock screen without reading the name above it. 'FUCK OFF.' I croaked,my blood boiling. The voice behind the phone chuckled then spoke with a husky tone.
'Babe. it's liam.' My cheeks flushed in embarrassment. 'Oh... umm..hi.' I replied back quietly. I pushed the phone closer to my ears as I heard the distant sound of waves and seagulls in the background. "Where are you?!' I asked in a state of confusion. 'The beach.. come meet me.' he replied hesitantly. Pulling away my curtains I glanced at the pinky grey tone that covered the sky.
'I'm tired liam...' I said irritantly as I pulled back the curtain. 'Please.. I have something for you.' he begged in a hushed tone. This 'something' he had for me had began to make me curious. Without a second thought I dragged myself out of bed. 'Give me 5 minutes.' I said and with that ended the call.
Rushing over to my wardrobe I grabbed a pair of denim shorts and a plain white tshirt putting my hair into a pathetic high bun. I then frantically covered my face with water, dried it and brushed my teeth throughly.
Tiptoing downstairs I grabbed my key closing the door behind me. A cool breeze hit me as I left the porch sending a shiver down my spine. Maybe I should have worn a jacket I mumbled making my way towards the beach. Approaching I stood still as nobody seemed to be around. If this was a game then it wasn't funny..
Fumbling my phone out of my pocket I dialed his number in annoyance. No answer. Taking a step back I felt a hand move into mine, twirling around to see liam standing infront of me. He smiled and I did the same back pulling him into a hug, his outfit consisting of a jumper with low cut jeans.
'You look cute.' I said ruffling his hair. 'Now why am I here?!' I added. A smirk emerged from his face as he grabbed my shoulders and turned me around. I felt his hand move around my neck as he placed some kind of gold item around me his fingers struggling with the clasp.
'You got it?' I asked. 'Yup.' he replied. My eyes moved down to my neck reading the gold plated letters. It read 'Stay beautiful.' as my hands brushed over the letters. Turning back around my eyes began to water,a tear falling as liam wiped it away. 'You don't know how much this means.' I gushed. He delicately kissed my forehead. 'I know that you mean more to me ' he replied.
'How did you...?.' He silenced me putting a finger to my lips. 'Doesn't matter.' I giggled in response moving away from him. 'I'm so tired..Is it ok if I just see you later?' I asked through pouted lips. He rolled his eyes. 'Sure..'
Giving him another hug I ran back but was stopped in my path as liam yelled my name. 'WHAT?' Turning back the wind blew uncontrollably as I headed back towards him. 'Lana... will you be my girlfriend?' liam screamed loud enough for the whole state to here. My heart stopped as the word 'girlfriend' finally hit me. I stood awkwardly moving towards him. 'Liam.. this is stupid..' i'm leaving tomorrow.' I retorted back thinking realistically of the situation.
He frowned. 'We can make this work...please.' I paused. Was this right for me to do.. I wasn't entirely sure. 'Yes...' I mumbled under my breath. He stared back confused. 'I can't hear you...' he replied. I increased my volume. 'YES DORK.' He smiled brightly.
Without a second thought I ran up to him jumping onto him so my legs were wrapped around his waist, his arms holding me tight. I kissed him on the lips, him kissing me back softly. I parted as he bit my tongue. 'Ouch' I laughed, his laugh following shortly after mine.
