Locking the front door whilist dragging billy by his shirt I sighed in disappointment. Why couldn't dad just take billy with him instead of leaving me to watch over his annoying ass. 'OW' he yelled. I glanced back pushing the key's into my pocket. 'I told you to get ready years ago' 'It was five minutes' he muttered in response.
Walking away from the porch I peered ahead. 'Let's head down' . Putting the sand inbetween my toes I strode along the beach saying nothing as billy was beside me,my arms crossed. In annoyance I shoved him. 'Can't you just walk somewhere else?!' He gave me a dirty look sticking his tongue out leading me to walk in the opposite direction. Was I this annoying at 10 years old?
Perching on a rock I lay on it watching the clouds float in the sky like candyfloss. Everything suddenly became relaxing. The sound of waves gently crashing against the shore, laughter and birds singing. My eyes began to close despite my effort to keep them open falling into a small sleep.
I wasn't aware of how long I was sleeping for until I was awoken by a slimey creature on my face. Opening my eyes I felt my cheek witg my hand feeling something soft and prickly. I jumped up hysterically screaming in a sense of panic and shock. 'OMG. GET IT OFF' Everybody stared on the beach, some laughing while I sighed in relief pulling what I discovered was a starfish off my face.
My face became bright red in embarrassment. I wanted to crawl under a rock and never come back out. Questioning how it got there I looked around. Billy was behind me rolling around on the sand laughing. I knew it.
Charging towards him I screeched 'YOU IDIOT.' He got up still laughing. 'You're the one who was scared of a starfish' he responded back smugly. 'It isn't funny.' I paused picking him up from the ground. 'But this is' I cackled carrying him to the sea. 'STOP' he yelled pathetically. '1...' 'Lana noo' '2...' 'please' 'And 3!' and with that I threw him in the ocean himself landing with a splash.
I waited for him to come up to the surface but he didn't. My smile vanished.
