Sunlight caught my eyes as I moved about under my blanket. Turning to my left I realized Liam's chair was empty. Slowly getting up I looked across at the house slipping my phone out. It was 10AM meaning dad was most likely awake. I'd slept considerably well.

I gathered everything from last night in a heap trudging to the front door. I really needed a shower. Knocking the door I felt like an idiot giving into my plan to ignore dad. 'Who is it?' he yelled. 'Who else would it be?!

Opening the door he bursted into laughter peering at my messy self,my hair tangled, smudged make up and stale clothing from last night. 'Hilarious dad' 'You lasted longer then I thought' 'And how long was that?' I said pushing past him. 'An hour?'

Trailing up the stairs I turned back to face him. 'I should camp out more often'

Applying my eye liner and lip gloss I heard a soft knock from the bathroom door. 'Come in' I turned to see billy walking in. 'Hey' 'Good nights sleep?' I laughed. 'I was extremely tired. I would have slept like a baby in a lion's cage' 'Where's liam?' I stared back in confusion. 'I don't know.. He left'

'How do I look?' I said twirling. I was wearing a blue peplum top with white jeans and blue flats. 'Girly and Nice. Much better then back at home' I stared back at my reflection tightening my high ponytail. I strangely had been dressing much better. It was almost like I was trying to impress someone..like liam. At the thought I shuddered.

'Cya downstairs' billy yelled. That was very unlikely. Rushing down I grabbed a croissant off the table walking straight back out. 'Lana I am sorry. My priorities are with you guys' dad said following me out. 'You Promise?' 'Yes. How about... we go.. out?!'

Liam interrupted entering. 'Hey trouble' 'You guys have nicknames?' dad piped in finding the whole thing comedic. 'No' I groaned slamming the door behind me.

Walking down a different route I observed a tall tree wanting to climb up it. 'You can't climb that.' Being aware of the voice I angrily spat 'Do you have a hobbie of following me?!' 'Maybe' Slipping my flats off I grasped onto the tree firmly climbing reaching the top perching on a branch

'Good job' liam said applauding me. 'Bow down' I peered below at his small frame. He looked so small from so far away. I'd always loved climbing trees. The experience brought back my childhood making me feel warm inside.

Liam then leaped up swinging from branch to branch reaching the top in a flash. 'You monkey' 'Impressive right?' I was extremely tempted to push him off, himself budging next to me. He pulled my feet into his lap.

'Where did you go this morning?' 'Work' 'I didn't know you work?' 'Yup. At my dad's aquarium? He wants me to take over the buisness.'

'Cool' I gleamed. He sighed in response. 'Not really. I applied for university in Atlanta. I got in. Dad said he didn't want me to go. I only found out that I got in the other day because he hid the acceptance letter' 'Wow' 'That's why I've practically been living here'

'What does your mom think?' 'She just goes along with whatever dad says' 'That sucks...It's your future..you decide. Don't let him get in the way' 'Your right' he smiled.

I stared at him as the sunlight caught his hazel eyes. He looked... sad. His brown hair was ruffled under a beanie, his tank top on as usual. He broke the silence. 'What?' 'I wanna draw on your wrist.' I said grabbing his arm and eyeliner out of my pocket.

Opening the top I wrote 'Be bold' in block letters. 'Be bold meaning stand up to your dad' You have to pinky promise me I proposed holding out my pinky. 'Ok. If you do this' he said also grabbing my wrist and eyeliner.

It tickled as he wrote on it delicatly. 'There' Holding it up I blushed reading the statement 'Stay Beautiful' 'Is this a joke?' 'No' We shook on it. I laughed. 'You seem different now' I looked back puzzled. 'How?' 'I don't know'

We talked for hours about memories growing up,our favourite snacks,tv drama's and life. I didn't want to climb down leaning on Liam's shoulder. 'We gotta get back down' he whispered. Easing off him he stepped down first myself staying in my position.

Throwing me over his shoulder I yelled 'Stop' but he persisted travelling down faster. Reaching the bottom he put me down softly. I childishly frowned facing him. 'I hate you' 'No you don't' he smirked. 'I have concussion' 'Ridiculous' He held both of my hands. 'You are weird, hormonal and pretty all in one'

We both paused and I ruffled his hair. 'I have to go' I said running towards dad's house. 'Keep your promise!' 'I will' I responded shyly forming a heart with my hands.

He was growing on me and I couldnt help but show it smiling as I walked through the front door humming up to my room.
