You, (fr/n), and PTX had decided that you should go out to eat. You were thinking about going to a bar or somewhere downtown, but with the concert just over you didn't want anyone noticing them. You had mentioned that if they were heading home after this, that there was a really good restaurant where you used to live. You doubted anyone would notice them, and if they did it shouldn't be as big a deal.
"So how are we going to get there?" (Fr/n) asks. You have to admit it was a good question. The car was larger and could hold 5. You didn't even want to take it that far as to drive out of the way, but they insisted.
"We don't have to ride in the bus, we also have a black SUV that we can drive in." Scott says. That would work. You could split, or they could ride in their vehicle and you and (fr/n) in yours.
"Okay, so me, Avi, and Kevin want to ride together." Kirstie tells the group. "Okay, I'll ride with, if that's okay." Scott asks. Kirstie agrees. But then (fr/n) jumps in.
"Hey can I ride with you guys?" She asks. You are about to protest when Scott answers her question with a yes. "I guess that leaves me and (y/n)." Mitch says looking at you. You force a smile back as he smiles at you.

Since their SUV was just out back and you guys had parked slightly farther away, they told you and Mitch to meet them around back so you could lead the way. You nod your head and start leading Mitch to the car. Luckily you hadn't parked to far away because you feel the tension growing between Mitch and you. It was so awkward you were relieved once you made it to the car. But you still had a long drive ahead.
Mitch shows you how to get around back and they let you through the gates. You find everyone else all ready to go. They had decided to stay at one of their old homes and just head there afterword, so some of their things were piled up in the back of the SUV. They were already in the vehicle and Avi, who was driving, nodded at you to go ahead and lead the way.
As you make your way to and onto the interstate, you decide to put on some music, hoping Mitch won't mind. You go to turn it up and their song starts to play. Of course, you had forgotten the CD was still in. He smirks as you take it out and put it up.
"(Fr/n) wanted to listen to it on the way to the concert." You explain. He nods. You decide to put in your CD and listen to your song for your next audition. You were going to be auditioning for Maria in Sound of Music. You had been debating whether or not to audition, since you were slightly younger, but it wasn't called acting for nothing.
You were going to practice singing it, but you didn't want to with Mitch in the car. As you put it in, Mitch seems curious.
"What'd you put in?" He asks. He looks over at you.
"A song I'm going to be using to audition with. You might be able to guess who I'm auditioning for if you listen." You turn it up a little bit. As the song starts it takes all of you not to burst out into song with it. Of course the song, sound if music, wasn't very upbeat or slow, but was still a song that showed off your voice.
"Sound of Music, right? I've heard some of the music from it. Are you auditioning for the main character? The nanny?" He asks. You're surprised that he got it right. You didn't think he would watch or listen to older music and musicals.
"Yep. I've been practicing for about a month now. The auditions are in about a month and a half. I already discarded the sheet music after about a week or two." He actually seems surprised by this.
"If you don't mind would you sing it for me? I can be your personal judge." He says. "I don't know. Why?" You ask.
"Well, for one, I've never heard you sing before. Apparently you must be pretty good. And if you know it by heart, it shouldn't be a big deal." He actually has a few good reasons. You relent. "You sure?" You ask, raising your eyebrows. He nods his head. You turn the radio up and restart the song. As the music starts in the beginning you take a deep breathe.
As soon as you should you start to sing, hitting every note perfectly. It was the best you had ever done. Which was odd, because of how nervous you were with Mitch in the car. You add some vibrato to the longer notes. And just a few of your own little touches you always add. You were actually happy that you had the first track without any vocals. Finally the song goes off and you go silent as you turn the radio down.
You take a quick look over at Mitch. He's staring straight ahead with his eyes bugging out of his head. He is literally about to drop his jaw when you smirk at him and he sees you. You turn your attention back to the road and he just stares over at you.
"Wow. That was... Amazing." He says. You can tell he means it but you can't stop smirking. "What? Is something wrong?" He asks.
"No. I've just never had anyone react that way to my singing. Well, with the exception of some directors who didn't give me a chance. Don't get me wrong, its not like I expect people to think I'm good, I just wasn't expecting that. But thank you for the compliment. Much appreciated." You say. He finally cools down a little. Good thing you would be there in about 5 more minutes.
