A/N : I just realized that I ship Kavi (Kirstie and Avi). I am going to add some of this into my story. Not a lot, but I am sorry if you don't like this. Hopefully you will continue to read my story anyways.
~Megafangirl05You walk down the stairs, Kirstie right behind you. When you walk into the room everyone looks over to you. Mitch walks over to you and Kirstie walks over to Avi. You can't tell what emotion is on his face. He's slightly smiling but not all the way.
"So everyone. I, well we, were going to tell you later on today. But for our own reasons, have decided to tell you now. (Y/n) and I are together." Mitch tells them all. Kirstie is smirking and Avi just smiles. "Congrats? I guess." He tells you. You smile back.
You see Kevin and Scott smiling too. Scott actually gets up and gives each of you a hug. You start to laugh. "What's the big occasion? Its not like we're engaged." Then all of you start to laugh. Kirstie and Avi take sit down on the love seat, Kevin stays reclined across the chair, and you Mitch and Scott all sit on the couch. You were glad they took it so lightly.
"So what were you two talking about up there? Did something happen we should know about? Kirstie seemed pretty excited." Kevin asks, raising an eyebrow. You just look over at Kirstie. She doesn't say anything, just looks down smirking. "She knows. I can tell that she knows." Kevin says after observing Kirstie.
"Are you going to tell us what happened?" Scott asks. She just shakes her heads and looks over at you and Mitch. "I promised I wouldn't tell." Scott just sighs and looks over at you. "Was it really that bad?"
"No. I just don't know how you would react." You tell him.
He raises his eyebrows. You can tell what he's thinking about. "No! No! Not that. That is not what happened."
"Sorry."
"It's okay." You tell him. Mitch just smiles and throws his arm around your shoulder. You lean into him, getting comfy. Then his mom walks in. "Oh my gosh! That's so adorable!" She says.
Mitch scrambles to stand up. "No mom. Don't." She frowns. "I was just gonna get a picture to send to (y/n)'s dad. Not a huge deal." Your breath catches in your throat. Mitch looks down at you, and back to his mom. "Mom. (Y/n)'s dad is..."
She gasps. "I am so sorry. I didn't know. How long ago was it?" She asks. You let out part of the breath and answer her question. "It's okay. And about 2 months ago. He died of terminal cancer." Luckily you had let out all of your tears back then and with Mitch, or else you would have been crying. You and your dad had always been close, especially after mom had died.
She nods her head. Silence follows and Mitch sits back down next to you, wrapping his arm around your waist. You lay your head back down on his shoulder and let out the rest of the breath you had been holding in. "You okay?" Mitch asks. You just nod your head, closing your eyes. You didn't want to see the look in everyone else's face. It was already bad enough seeing Scott and Mitch's mom's reactions.
"How about I make us all something to eat?" His mom asks. You just nod your head. Kirstie volunteers to help and you hear them both head into the kitchen. "I'll be right back." Mitch whispers in your ear. You open your eyes and let him get up. He heads to the bathroom. You just sit there staring into space.
"I'm so sorry about that. Your dad was a really nice person." Scott says sympathetically. You look over at him and smile. "Yeah. We had some good times together. I remember when he would walk me over here to play with you and Mitch. He would sit on the back porch talking to Mitch's dad while the three of us played. He was really well liked throughout the neighborhood. All the way up until he died."
Scott just gives a small smile. You see Avi get up and head into the kitchen. "I'm gonna go make sure that there getting everything done." He says walking out. You look over to Kevin to see he's asleep. You smirk and lean back on the couch. All of the old memories were coming back. The good and the bad. Mitch walks back in and sits down next to you.
"You look happy."
"I'm just remembering everything that we used to do. Just sitting here all of the memories come flooding back in." You remember when you first came over, when you broke your leg in the backyard, even the time that...well...something else happened. "Like what." Scott asks.
"I remember one of the times that we were chasing each other around the back yard. It was starting to get late, and the sun was just setting. We kept running around until it was dark. A few minutes before your mom came out, Mitch, I tripped. When I fell though, I twisted my leg. I actually didn't find out it was broken until the next day."
"I remember that. You were trying to be tough about it and told my mom that it didn't hurt. The next day you weren't at school and we found out that you had broken your leg. Your mom nearly killed you for lying." Mitch says. He holds back a smile that you could tell he wanted to let out.
"Oh and the time when you twisted your ankle Scott." You say, snickering. He looks offended. "Its not funny!" He says. You and Mitch just start to crack up. "The way you twisted it was trying to kiss me." You say. "I was running away disgusted, but you kept chasing me." It might not have been funny back then but it was now. He starts to smile. "I guess it is kinda funny. But hey, I wasn't the only one who chased you because of that."
He raises his eyebrows at Mitch. "What! No I did not!" He says protesting. You just laugh more. "No. I distinctly remember you doing that. Both of you. It was always hilarious. Didn't one of you catch me one time?" You ask. Scott starts to blush. He slightly raises his hand. "That was me." He says.
"Well that ain't happening again. She's mine." Mitch says.
You scoot over to the middle of the couch. "Not if you claim me like that." You say. He just scoffs. "You said yes."
"Yes I did. But I think he already knows that we're dating." Scott nods his head. "I do. I would never steal your girlfriend from you Mitch. Promise. You two look good together anyways." That comment makes you blush. It makes Mitch blush too. "Thanks."
