Flashback
You're standing on Mitch's front porch. You had just gotten back from your trip to Carnegie Hall. Jess's mom had dropped you off at your house, but when you went in no one was there. You called your moms cell and it went straight to voicemail. You knew Ms. Grassi had kept in touch with your mom so you had walked over. You knock on the door.
Luckily it was her who answered. She smiles, then sees that your drenched in rain water. She ushers you inside. "What happened?"
"I just got back, and no ones at home and no one is picking up the phone. I didn't know if you knew where my mom was." She shakes her head. "No I don't sweetheart. You can stay with us until they make it back from wherever it is that they are." You smile and thank her.
"But you might want to go and tell Mitch. He'll probably want to know. I assume you still know where his room is?"
You smile. "Unless its changed since I last visited." She smiles and heads into the kitchen. You head up the stairs. You knock on the door. He opens it. It surprises you that you actually have to look up to see him now. "(Y/n)? What are you doing here?"
"Family emergency. Your mom said I could stay until it all got cleared up." He nods his head, as if putting the info into his brain.
"You want to come in?" He asks. You say yes and go into his room. The first thing you do is walk over to the blinds. "Can I open these?" He shrugs so you pull them up. You look out the window and across the street to your house. Then you feel something behind you."You okay?" Mitch asks. You turn around, only a few inches from his face. You both just stood there. It seems like he was about to say something but then his mom knocks on the door.
End of flashback.
You stand there looking out of the window. Then you hear Mitch walk up behind you and put his arms around your waist. "You okay?" He asks. You laugh.
"What?"
"I was just remembering something."
"Tell me."
"When I got back from Carnegie Hall in 11th grade, no one was home. I walked over here in the pouring rain, and when I told your mom that I couldn't contact anyone, she let me stay the night. When I came up here to tell you I was staying, you invited me in. I walked over here and was looking out the window. You walked up behind me and asked, exactly, 'you okay?'" He laughs a bit.
"I turned around and looked up at you. We stood there for a minute and then when it seemed like you were about to say something, your mom knocked on the door." You turn around and look up at him.
He's smirking. "What?" You ask.
"I didn't remember what you were talking about at first. But I do remember what I was going to do."
"What?" You ask. Wait, he said 'do' not 'say'.
"This." He says.
He pulls you onto a kiss. A gentle one, just like your first. You immediately start to kiss back. He keeps his hands at your waist as you move yours up around his neck. He turns you around and starts to back you up. You weren't really thinking about where this could lead to, but the tight feeling in your stomach actually felt good. You drop down to where you're sitting in the bed and he steps in between your legs, proceeding to kiss your lips with more passion and force. He's just starting to push you back to lay on the bed when you hear someone open the door.
You pull away from Mitch to see Kirstie standing there. She just stands there for a minute before saying anything. "I knew it!!!" She yells as she runs out the door, closing it. Before the door closes, you catch a glimpse of Avi's face. Then while you're just standing there, you hear Mitch cuss.
"I didn't want them to find out that way." He says.
"Its okay. But we should probably go say something before she tells them what she walked in on." You say walking to the door. Mitch is right behind you as you walk out and down the stairs. Everyone but his mom is sitting in the living room. When you walk in they all look up.
"What happened?" Scott asks.
"Hey Kirstie. Can I talk to you in private?" You ask. She smirks at you and walks over. As you walk back up the stairs you see Avi get up and walk over to Mitch. "What's going on?" You hear him ask.
You walk back into Mitch's room. She closes the door behind her and turns to you. "So, what do you want to talk about.""Did you tell any of them?"
She laughs. "No. Not even Avi. They have no clue. But it wouldn't take much for them to find out." You glare at her. "Don't worry. I won't."
"I doesn't matter. We were going to tell y'all later. But Mitch is probably telling them all now." You say sitting down on the bed. You knew Mitch probably couldn't hold it in. He wouldn't be able to if he was anything like he used to be.
"So what happened between you two? You like each other now?" You explain to her the gist of what happened. Her smile grows the whole time you tell the story. You can tell she likes this kind of stuff. "And you can 'oooh' and 'aaah' all you want because my best friend even shipped the two of us beforehand." She nods her head.
"Well, we should probably head back down to them and see what Mitch told them." She says. You nod your head and head for the door. This was going to be good.
