Spider in the Corner

Oh spider with your 8 legs

I'll let your little life resume

as long as you don't lay your eggs

in the corner of my room

Oh sweet thing, you cause some fright

your at the top of many peoples fears

but oh my friend, you never ever bite

and you have seen me through so many tears

Even though you hide in this house

when I'm sad and crying, you come out

Even though you're quiet as a mouse

you listen carefully, there's no doubt

Oh spider in the corner, did you know?

I don't want to ever let you go

I've always known

about the glances and stares

even if I'm weird

a true friend never really cares

Even though you aren't human

and have a few too many  eyes

I don't care about the looks

for a friend that never lies

Oh spider that dangles from the ceiling

I'll let you stay there, in that place

because you always know what I'm feeling

just please don't fall on my face

Oh sweet thing, why do people hate you so?

Is it because you wear your bones on the outside?

I love you so I stopped caring long ago

I don't even care that you sleep at my bedside

Even though your cobweb remains

I think that in the right light it's pretty

Even though you could put poison in my veins

you never hurt me

Oh spider in the corner, did you know?

I don't want to ever let you go

I've always known

about the glances and stares

even if I'm weird

a true friend never really cares

Even though you aren't human

and have a few too many  eyes

I don't care about the looks

for a friend that never lies

Sometimes...they scream

when they see you

but you aren't as scary as you seem

but I don't know what to do

Should I take a tissue

and squish you tightly

or should I drown you

in my hot cup of green tea

Should I smash your guts on my wall

Make you come face to face with my shoe

remove your legs so you can no longer crawl

...but I don't want to

Oh spider in the corner, I don't care

if you have extra libs and eyes

Even if you're covered in hair

or if a quarter is twice your size

Even though

some of you eat your mate

I know

there are some guys you just hate

And though I know

you've got me some unwanted stares

since so long ago

I don't mind the the glares

Oh spider in the corner, don't you know?

I could never let your life end

I promise not to let go

oh spider in the corner, you are my closest friend
