Well crap. After the entire drama with the earthquake, now I had to deal with Nicole.

I cannot believe it. How could she be so insensitive? I've never even messed up with her, and now, I won't get another chance with her.

I guess now that I've kind of spoiled what happens, I might as well just tell you.

It started after I had fallen asleep for the second time, next to Nicole again.

About five hours later, I wake up, and in my sleepy haze, reached over and felt the spot where I knew Nicole would be.

"Nicole!?" I ask, panicked when I realized that she wasn't there.

I know that I don't seem like the type of boyfriend to worry, but hell, we were just through an earthquake.

I sat up on the bed and noticed Nicole standing in the door way.

"I'm right here Nate, I'm okay. I'm just going downstairs," said Nicole. I relax just a little bit.

"Okay, I'll be right down," I say, and hop out of bed as Nicole closes the door.

I threw on a pair of dark jeans and a random shirt, not bothering to brush my hair as I jog downstairs.

I get to the bottom of the stairs, and go to take a seat; I hear knocking.

"I got it," I say, and look at Nicole. 'Yay!' I thought, 'She's making hot coco!'

"Can you make me some too please?" I ask. She nods with a smile. God, I think, I am so lucky to have her. Please don't let me mess up.

I open the door and am unpleasantly greeted by Brittany, followed by Cole.

Not wanting to be mean since she did me a huge favour last night, I say,

"Hey Brittany," as deeply as possible, and I hope it's the last time I ever have to talk to her today.

I hear the tea pot sing and watch as Nicole prepares two cups of steaming liquid.

I walked over to get my mug and Nicole handed it to me, granting me a kiss on the cheek. I smile at her.

Then, Miss Drama herself walked over to me and grabbed my arm.

"So we're still going on a date right? The silly little earthquake won't stop us right?" Brittany asks, knowing full well that it wasn't going happen.

"What date?" Nicole asks, sounding pissed off. I look up but don't say anything. After a moment she says, "So it's true. You asked her out?"

"Yes, but-" I say, trying to give a full explanation.

"No buts Nathan!" she yells. That is when I get mad, how dare she yell at me like that? She doesn't even know what it's about!

"What's going on in here?" asks Amanda who just walks in casually.

"What's going on is Nate here asked Brittany out after we had started dating," Nicole says. Now everyone was giving me that 'You scumbag!' look.

"No, it was before we were dating!" I yell.

"And how is that better?!" Nicole asks. I roll my eyes.

"I know it's wrong but I had to!" I say, trying to get her to stop so I can explain.

"That doesn't make any sense!" Nicole says. I block everyone else out.

"If you just listen to me," I say, trying to get her to stop yelling for a second and listen to what I had to say for once.
