I stormed out of the room and searched for the doctor, that bastard is healing Samuel. I know Samuel has done many horrible things, including hitting me for goddess knows how long, but what right does the doctor have to refuse treatment? Samuel hasn't done anything to him and he's trying to make up with me. My goodness, he protected me against someone who far worst than Samuel. I feel safer with him than Lycan, who's my own mate. Well, ex-mate.

I walked into the infirmary to see him sitting in his office, eating a donut. I rolled my eyes before walking in, grabbing him by the ear, and dragging him out of the infirmary. I threw him against the wall and glared at him.

"What the hell is your issue?" I snapped.

He frowned, "Wh-what do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean, prick." I snarled. "Now, tell me."

He swallowed, "He doesn't deserve any treatment! He's done wrong to so many people and have used girls for his own pleasure! Why are you taking his side? He abused you!"

"Yes, for a little over a month, but he's trying to make up with me. I know, I shouldn't fall for it, but if he does anything I'll fight back. I'm no longer the foolish girl I was, I've learned my lesson. Right now, I'm more concerned about everyone's health in this kingdom."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the fact you won't help save someone's life because you either hate them or you don't approve of their actions. Well, guess what buddy, not everything revolves around you. So, you either heal him or I will make sure you lose your job." I threatened, baring my canines.

I could hear his heart pounding against his chest, his eyes widen with horror as that burst of confidence swept through me again. He quickly nodded and grabbed some materials before sprinting to Samuel's room. I raced after him, telling him he better not try anything stupid or I'll make sure he regrets it.

After an hour of Samuel snapping at him and trying to escape the pain he got him hooked up to an IV. He explained to me that the medicine will help drive out the infection. Since he's a werewolf his immune system will kill the infection in two days with the extra boost of help. I thanked him before making him leave, I then called Emerald to tell her what had happened.

"I'll take care of him, I'm returning tomorrow. After hearing what happened to Samuel, I don't want to be gone for another second. That infection could have killed him quickly." she explained.

"I'm sorry your trip was cut short." I replied, slightly guilty."

She laughed, "Trust me, it wasn't much of a vacation. People are so stuck up here."

Once she hung up I carefully crawled onto the bed and laid beside Samuel. He kept whimpering in his sleep, tears rolled down his cheeks as well. I sighed and wrapped my arms around him, I wasn't a big fan of seeing him in this much pain. I'll admit, I did enjoy seeing him in pain when he came to me a second time for help, but now, I don't. I wasn't even in this much pain, this seems like it hurts worse than hell burning someone's ass.

Half way through the night he started crying again, but this time he was mumbling something.

"No...please...don't go." he mumbled, trying to turn over.

I gently held him down, "Samuel?" I whispered.

"Please! I love you." he whispered, crying even more. "Please, Arabella, don't leave me."

I froze, shock washed over me. He's dreaming about me? He doesn't want me to leave? He loves me? Questions swam around my head, torturing me, but I shoved them aside. I swallowed, I am not going to get Stockholm syndrome over this. Though, I'm pretty sure I might have it already.

I scoffed at myself, I don't even love him. As he continued to cry out and beg me to stay, I felt a weird emotion take over. Fear started to eat away at me, I'm falling in love with him. After a while I got over my state of shock and confusion and gently cupped his face.

He leaned into my touch, relaxing a bit. I smiled softly, "I'm right here, Samuel. I'm not leaving."
