Lycan being Arabella's original mate is not incest. Incest is when two people who are related have intercourse. Lycan wasn't related to Arabella in any way whatsoever. Yes, they were family friends, but that's it.
Lycan's father "protected" Arabella while her parents fought their enemy. He didn't adopt her or anything.
So, no, it's not incest. At all. Incest disgusts me so I would never write that into any story.
