Painful pasts and terrible truths

Chapter 52

"Wait, I don't think it's safe" Virgil told me, holding his hand in front of me.

"Pfft, what's so dangerous about this?" I asked.

"Err, landslide, collapse, earthquake oh and my personal favourite falling to your death" Virgil complained.

"Oh come on, let me do this, please" I begged him.

"Oh alright, but at the first sign of danger let me know and I'll come and get you out" Virgil advised me.

"You don't need to be my knight in shining armour all the time" I laughed and I climbed down the hole, I was scouting for life signs, I noticed that it was freezing, I was cold now, I found some people, they were two boys, they seemed to be scared, and crying "heya there, what are you two doing down here."

"Please help us, we're scared" one of the boys sobbed.

"Don't worry, does anything hurt, can you both walk" I asked them.

"George twisted his ankle trying to get out of here" the same boy answered.

"Right George, buddy, I'm going to have to carry you ok, I'll call for backup" I explained.

I picked up the boy who was named George and I carried him to the entrance of the hole, I can't climb all the way up there whilst carrying someone, but if I call Virgil he'll force me to stay in Thunderbird two, oh what the heck I'll call him anyway.

"Olivia what is it" Virgil asked, he had a slightly panicked tone to his voice.

"I may need some help, I don't know how to carry someone whilst climbing" I told him.

"Well just make sure they hang on" I have no idea what I'm doing and it's easy for him to just say that.

"Ok George, try and hang on to me and I'll try and get you out" I advised him.

*2 hours later*

When we got back to the island, I felt really down, Virgil decided to go to bed, he didn't even ask me if I was ok, ugh.

"Hey Olivia are you alright" Gordon asked me.

I shook my head, that's weird, he's being nice to me.

"Do you want to talk about it" he seemed worried, he was giving me the puppy dog eyes look, aww.

I nodded.

"I just feel like your brother doesn't care about me as much as he used to, he hasn't even noticed that I relapsed" I told him.

"Oh man, that's awful, do they hurt" Gordon questioned me.

"No, not anymore, but all I feel is emotional pain whenever I'm around Virgil" I sighed "it's like he's been keeping his distance from me since we were kidnapped-" I was interrupted by Gordon hugging me, I was pressed up against his chest, he had a really floral scent.

"Don't worry, he's just going through a lot, he's been stressing out about his exam, he'll be ok in a couple of months" Gordon reassured me.

"I can't wait for a couple of months I just want my snuggly teddy bear back" I whispered and I started crying, Gordon was trying to comfort me he was holding me as I cried, I then spotted Virgil's phone on the side, I should probably return it, I saw he had an unread text message, I decided to read it, it was from another girl.

Lilly: ugh I just wish I could see you, I love you.

Virgil: I love you too.

Lilly: you're so cute aww.

"And he's seeing someone else" I muttered

"What, no, he wouldn't cheat on anyone" Gordon was confused.

"Don't worry, I knew he would do this" I sniffed.

I knew he would cheat on me.
