"No, no, no, no" I spoke in a panicked tone, I dived under the surface of the icy blue water, I can't lose him now.
It was painful to swim and every so often I had to resurface for air. Then I saw the sky blue fabric of his jumpsuit, I swam down to him, the joints in my arms were beginning to lock up and it hurt like hell. I saw his face. The fear that remained in his unconscious state hurt me like a spear through my heart. I grabbed the collar of his jumpsuit and I struggled to swim back to the surface, when I arrived at my desired destination I heaved his limp body on to the thickest bit of drift wood I could find.
"Come on baby, please don't die on me yet, we have so much to do together" I whispered as I performed chest compressions on him, this was unfair on him, I shouldn't have been so scared.
After a while I felt a weak pulse, he's still with me, his chest shakily rose and fell, he was struggling to breathe, I was terrified and Thunderbird two was no where in sight, I looked on my comm link, I tried to enter our coordinates to try and summon the almighty ship because I think I can pilot her.
"Virgil stay with me alright, baby, it's going to be alright" I reassured him, he was still a unconscious but alive and that kept me calm, I took hold of his hand, he twitched, which was a good sign.
I was relieved when Thunderbird two arrived in a timely manner, the thing is I can't control any of her features and Virgil's wrist controller was completely waterlogged so I did the only thing I was capable of, and that was hacking into her main computer systems and taking control of the grappling cable, Virgil won't forgive me for hurting his baby like this but it's my only option left.
"I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and I'll help you repair the damage in her systems" I apologised to Virgil and kissed his forehead, I executed my plan and it was a success, it was nice and warm in Thunderbird two, I strapped Virgil in and I sat down where he normally sits, none of the buttons and switches made sense to me because he didn't explain it very well, I somehow managed to fly us home and I carried his limp and dead-like body back to the villa, I almost collapsed under his weight, Jeff looked up suddenly and his face turned white with horror, he ran over to me and supported Virgil and we practically carried him to the infirmary.
Virgil did teach me a few things about what to do in this situation, I hooked up an IV that had fluids and pain relief, I checked his eyes for evidence of head wounds and the results were normal, which was good, I noticed a nasty cut on his forehead so I had to suture it up and wrap a bandage around his head.
"I think he should be okay for a while, keep an eye on him alright" Jeff requested quietly and placed a hand on my shoulder.
I nodded and rested my head on Virgil's legs, I felt sleepy, he wasn't going to wake up instantly but it was worth hanging on to that hope, when I woke up from my nap he was still unconscious, he looked so beautiful whilst he was asleep, I stood up and stroked his cheek with my fingers, his skin was soft and smooth.
"How could I let you get into this position, you poor thing" I muttered and kissed him.
I stayed with him and made sure that he was alright, after a while he twitched and opened his eyes, I jumped and hugged him, he slowly wrapped his arms around me, I just wanted him to be safe and warm, poor thing, but he was getting warmer, which made me happier.
"Your body temperature seems to be normalising" I couldn't help myself from grinning and kissing him.
"Hey...ugh what happened, the last thing I can remember is falling into the ocean" Virgil mumbled incoherently due to the amount of pain relievers that were coursing through his bloodstream.
