Chapter 14

Aleksandra's POV

In the last few days nothing special has happened, Sasha didn't try to find me and Marco wasn't so annoying which made me wonder what has changed. I spent the whole time getting ready for the trial and my work was perfect as always. I won the trial and even if I know I should be happy I can't stop feeling that something bad is going to happen.

"Congratulations, Aleksandra, you were amazing like always" the judge tells me after the trial was over.

"Thanks, Adie" I answer smiling while getting out of the courtroom. I wasn't in the mood for other questions and after I said 'Goodbye' to Roger, my client, I went straight to my car.

The whole way to the office I only thought about the fact that I need a vacation. I needed to go away and not think about the problems that appeared in my life. And maybe that's what I'm going to do. I'll take a break from the courtroom and I'll go to a vacation with Elise. With this thought in my head I parked the car outside the office and I was ready to go and piss off Marco.

"The witch is finally here" I hear Marco say right when I was getting out of my car.

"Your boss is here, Reus" I answer smiling.

"How was the trial" he asks very serious.

"I won it. What's with these questions, Reus? I don't have time for your games" I say starting to get annoyed.

"I have a problem and I was hoping you will be able to help me" he says looking into my eyes. "How can a professional killer be a lawyer at the same time" he finally asks making me to remain stunned.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about this" he answers angry showing me a piece of paper.

"Where did you get this from" I ask him feeling my anger growing up.

"How can you be such a fake person? You pretend to be a very moral person but you are only a bitch" he says making me slap him.

"Don't you dare call me a bitch! You have no idea what are you talking about! You have no idea what you did by reading that paper" I shout at him without giving a shit that there were people who could listen.

"Why do you have to have so many secrets? Why can't you be a normal woman? Why do you have to lie" he asks screaming while pushing me toward the car.

"If I'd stop lying or having secrets you'll be a dead man, Reus and I don't want you to die" I finally recognize.

"Get your hands off of her" a familiar voice shouts at Marco. Confused, he took his hands from my body and turned around to face the mysterious person. Standing behind him, Sasha was looking at Marco with anger in his eyes. He was pissed and from what I know, it was very difficult for him to calm down.

"Who the hell are you" Marco asks Sasha not knowing that any wrong word could be his last one.

"It depends on you. Leave her alone or I'll become you're worst nightmare" Sasha answers through gritted teeth.

"Что вы хотите, Саша?" ("What do you want, Sasha?") I ask him wanting to save Marco from a difficult conversation.

"Я, я хочу тебя" ("You, I want you") he answers coming closer to me.

"I've already told you I don't want to see you again, Sasha."

"Sasha? Sasha Ivanov, like the one on your paper" Marco asks whispering into my ear.

"I told you to stay away from her" Sasha screams pushing Marco away from me.

"You are the one who needs to stay away from me, Sasha! He is my boyfriend so don't you dare touch him!" I shout not believing what I was saying.
