Facetiming

I sat in bed with teddy bear. The one Shawn gave me before he left on tour. I couldn't go because of my internship at the publishing company. I won't get to see him for another two months. It has been three. A tear fell down my cheek. Then I saw the little icon pop up for facetime. It was the first time this week. I was tempted to ignore him. To make him feel rejection like I did yesterday and the day before. I slid it to answer though.. I quickly swept away my tears.

"Hey beautiful," He smiled. I waited a second, just staring at him.

"Hi," I mumbled.

"What is going on babe how is the job?" He asked. I bit my lip.

"Fine," I said quietly.

"Well today was hilarious on stage-" He started when his best friend Aaron jumped in the way.

"Shawn's voice cracked in front of everyone it was so funny," He said.

"Hi Aaron," I muttered.

"Hey gorgeous," I smiled small. He gave me a look but dismissed himself from the shot. He could tell my mood. Shawn started telling me his usual stories about fans and such. His crazy fun life without me.. Out of nowhere I blurted without thinking.

"Do you miss me?!" I quickly pursed my lips together. He looked at me and stopped talking. He knitted his eyebrows together.

"What kind of a question is that? Of course I miss you," I didn't say anything. "Are you okay Y/N," He asked concerned. I wait a second then shook my head. Tears brimmed my eyes. I tried to blink them away.

"It seems you are perfectly fine without me! I am trying to say I'm fine without you but I'm not! I sit alone. And it is killing me inside," I started to cry. He got up. Not saying a word. He then left the room. I sat with a jaw opened. He didn't even have anything to say! Then I saw Aaron again.

"Wait hi Y/N. Did Shawn forget to hang up?" He asked the noticed my emotional state. "Oh my gosh are you okay?" I shook my head.

"Where did Shawn go," I asked. He shrugged.

"I think into the bathroom," He said. I nodded. Then Shawn appeared again. He had a paper in his hand. He sat down and pushed Aaron away. Aaron laughed and rolled off the bed. Shawn looked at me.

"This was supposed to be a surprise but. I will be leaving tomorrow," He showed plane tickets. I gasped.

"Wait really!" I squealed. He smiled.

"Yep. I get to come home for three days because one of the dates got rescheduled because of flooding," He smiled.

"I love you," I said.

"I live you too. Never again will we be apart for months without visits again okay?"

"Okay," I smiled.
