"Y/N Y/N!" Lilly yelled tugging at my leg. I glanced down from my phone.

"What Lilly?" I asked. Her smiled with her two front teeth missing. It was adorable.

"I done playing. Can we go to river to see the duckys," She pleaded with doe eyes. I smiled and grabbed the last of the bread from our pantry that was stashed in my purse. Every time we are at the park we have to visit the ducks. I personally didn't mind it because I loved the willow tree that sat next to the cement dock. I grabbed her little hand and walked (though she skipped) to the dock so she could throw bread at the always hungry ducks. Lilly basically pulled me there. Shouting silly phrases I wasn't paying attention to. Instead, like a teenage girl, though I am one so it isn't that out of the ordinary, I was looking at a guy. He sat with a guitar, his fingers pulling at the strings with some fire to it. His eyes were fixed on the strings. Lilly ran to the shore and starting throwing the bread. The ducks furiously bit at the big pieces (she wasn't that good at making them smaller). There was only one bench. And the guy was there. I guess it was time to talk.

"Hello. Can I sit here?" I asked. He looked up kind of surprised.

"Sure," He scooted over a little though there was plenty of room. I sat next to him. "I'm Shawn,"

"Y/N,"

"Is the kid yours?" He asked. I shook my head.

"No," I said quickly. "She is my niece. I just babysit a lot. My sister is only 19. Single and trying to work two jobs. So I help out." I explained.

"That's nice. She is cute,"

"Yeah." I smiled as Lilly laughed and threw bread crumbs watching the animals. "She is."

"So are you." I glanced at him.

"What?" I asked

"You are cute also." He said with a smile. It was nice and real. Unlike most people these days.

"Thank you," I said. We sat in silence for a second.

Come on Y/N. Come up with a conversation!

"So you play guitar?" I asked. Great job Y/N. Nice start!

"Yea. It's my favorite thing to do," He said. "It fixes everything yano?" He said.

"Yeah. I do. I used to play as a kid," I replied. I loved talking to this guy.

"I used to come to this old willow tree all the time and play. When I was upset. This spot has been my getaway since I was a little kid. Though a duck bit me once and I had to stay away for a month under my moms vision. She was afraid I would be killed by ducks," I laughed.

"The duck disease,"

"It gets every 1/7 billion a day," He grinned.

"Well I could always use your number. Then we could talk about guitars all the time," He smirked. I laughed.

"Aren't you charming?"

"Indeed,"

I did give him my number though. We talked for a little longer.

Then I heard a crack.

That's when we should of ran.
