(Just take a second to admire Shawn)

"Babe I swear that you are going crazy and the pine tree in your backyard is not a bully," Shawn laughed.

"I swear it is. It is growing over the other tree so it can't get sunlight!" I defended. He just didn't seem to understand it.

"Whatever you say." I could feel his smirk through the phone as he talked. I frowned.

"Meany," I whined.

"Third grader." He came back. I chuckled. Then it was silent. I looked up at my ceiling. I checked the time on my phone. 3:28 AM.

"We have been talking for four hours,"I smiled. I heard him shuffle a little.

"Wow. It is already 3 isn't it," He said. We sat silent for a few seconds

"Do you ever.... Think about after highschool?" I asked.

"Well of course," He replied.

"But like us," I explained. "What if we go to colleges across the country. And this is the only way we will ever talk," I bit my lip.

"Y/N," Shawn sighed. "I will not promise you we won't ever break up. Because we might. That's just reality. But I can promise that my lovely Y/N Y/L/N I have will do everything and anything to make sure I can be as close to you and if that doesn't work I will do everything to see you as much as I can. okay?" He asked. I smiled big. He anyways cared so much.

"Okay," I replied blushing. "I love you.. Shawn,"

"I love you too Y/N. More than you would ever know," He whispered.

"I do hope we last forever," I said softly. I waited a few seconds for him to reply.

"I do too. I really do," I smiled.

"Do you think we will?" I asked.

"I wouldn't say I love you if I didn't,"

"I wouldn't say it to you if I didn't mean the same," I replied.

"I think I'm going to get some shut eye," I said.

"Okay. I love you babe. I will see you in the morning," He said happily. I said my good nights and turned my phone off. I stared at the ceiling. I was smiling a big grin. Thinking about what he said. Maybe we would last. We already were together a year and 10 months. I actually had a good feeling we could last forever.

Sadly I love you didn't last forever. We went to college in Nebraska and Michigan. So basically we were far away. And sadly, long distance wasn't what it seemed. So we split. Because unfortunately almost all love won't last. And half the time lust is mistaken for love. And being two teenagers chasing dreams and passions, I think we fell into the trap.

A/N

Okay so a weird ending. But it is just something I seemed to learn from reading John Green (amazing author). Because love really is used loosely these days and mistaken for other emotions. And that love doesn't last most of the time..

But anyways hit that vote button! Adios mis amigos!
