(First Point of View)
Shawns POV
When I answered the door a random girl ran into my house. My eyes widened.
"Shut the door lock it please!" She squeaked out. I did as she say. Simply because she didn't look scary. But she... Looked scared. I glanced out the window and there was no one there. "I-I have no time to explain turn off the lights and go to some other room so we don't look like we are here." I obeyed. Turning off my TV and my living room light.
"Follow me," I said and ran to my basement stairs. I walked down the steps and turned on that light. Thankfully, the light doesn't show through to the outdoors since there aren't any windows. My basement was carpetted. Had a couch and a TV and a small kitchen area. A little bathroom. "Sit on the couch," I said. She quickly sat down on the sofa. She was dirty. Her hair was a mess. But there was no doubt she was still a beauty. Looked like about my age give or take some. "Who are you and why are you here," I questioned.
"I... I had this guy, a guy who hasn't done anything nice to me, following me. And I had to get away. I am so sorry don't give me away. I can't go with him he will hurt me," She pled. I looked at her. She wiped some tears from her cheeks.
"Do you want me to call 9-1-1?" I asked.
"Can't they won't do anything. His dad is the chief of this town." She explained. Like she has already tried many times before.
"Well you can stay here. If he comes you go to that closet to the right," I pointed. She glanced and nodded. "Do you want water, food? You can take a shower when we are more into the clear," I said. What was I doing?! This was a stranger! And I am making up a plan that might get me hurt in the end to protect this stranger? But. She is also a girl. I am making plans to protect a girl who has nothing and is being chased by a abusive man (which ever ways I really would not like to know but both just as bad). I couldn't not let her hide here. It was obvious she couldn't get home. What if she doesn't even have one? She bit her lip.
"Uh uh water please," She requested sheepishly.
Your POV
What was I doing? I was in a strangers house! Someone I don't know's basement. I don't even know this guys name! I guess it was the only option though. That or Nash. And honestly the cards are better on this guy than him.. He fetched me a water and sat down next to me.
"Do you mind telling me your name. Or any other detail?" He asked. I sipped the water.
"Y/N."
"Shawn."
"Well this guy. Is my ex. And we were at dinner with friends. And-" I choked a little. He glanced at me. "Well he tried. And he chased me and I escaped and then my car broke down so I was walking home but he seemed to somehow catch up with me and find me," I said quickly. Fiddling with my thumbs feeling like I had bricks in my stomach. And sandpaper against my throat. He seemed lost at words. I mean if some strange person ran into my house running from an abusive person I wouldn't know what to do. Then even though we both didn't know what to do, we had to go to action anyways.
There was banging on the front door.

Cliff. I like cliffs. Hate them as the reader. Love them as the writer. I see why writers do them XD
