Our lips molded against each other. Mine trembling against his strong ones. He was always certain about what he did. As for I, I have never been certain with anything in my life.
Except that I didn't want this to end.
His hand gently held the back of my neck as he leaned down to kiss me.
I broke apart. Still looking into his dark chocolate pool of color in his eyes.
"I hope you never leave me," I whispered. And then rested my head in my shoulder.
"I won't Y/N," He replied. With the same genlte tone he always used directed to me.
"I will walk you out," I mumbled against his shirt. He nodded and walked out of my room. I strolled him slowly down the stairs and to the front door. He glanced at me with a smile on his face.
"Bye Y/N."
"Bye Shawn."
"You are an idiot Y/N!" I sighed. Trying to ignore it as I circled my thumbs over each other. Trying to stare at my phone screen in my lap and not that eyes boring into me. "Y/N you know he is going to use you." (We are going to say you are maybe like two years younger or one about or something like that).
"How?" I asked shortly.
"Y/N. He is of course going to go after you."
"Im not naive Y/F/N," I sneered. Glaring at her for a split second and then back at my shaky fingers. She didn't even know about us kissing.
"You realize Y/N. He was in your room. And he tells everyone you are just a friend."
"No he doesn't."
"Again are you dating?"
I silenced.
"I mean kind of. We went out."
"But see he isn't your boyfriend Y/N. Here is the thing Y/N please listen to me. I'm your friend and I am trying to give you advice. Take it from me Y/N, I see this happen to so many girls all the time! You see this happen to so many girls Y/N. How many girls did my brother say he was just friends with? And then they came over once, twice. Then they were never spoke of again?" I gulped. My chest was on fire. My eyes prickling with tears I refused to let fall. "Y/N he might be just shy. But he would've usually already have asked asked you out if his intentions were for the best. You two have been like this for a while." I nodded. "I know you think I am wrong. But just remember what I say the next time you notice how ridiculously close your story and any other girl that got played's are."
I didn't want to believe she was right. I couldn't. I wouldn't. He wouldn't do that to me.
"Who is that?" I asked.
Curiousity killed the cat.
"Uh a girl who like is obsessed with me."
"Obsessed?"
"Yeah."
"Like the rest of them." I muttered. For the sake of both of us. He changed the subject.
His best friend was a huge player. The biggest one in the school.
"Who is that?" He questioned, peering over me.
"Oh David?" I asked.
"He likes you."
"He is gay."
"Sure."
"Well no. He isn't you are right. It's just a joke I make. But he doesn't like me Shawn we are just friends."
"Sure," He said.
"Well even if he ever wasn't it wouldn't matter. Im not dating anyone."
He had a way to make any person smile. He was always a charm. I guess that's another thing everyone liked about him. Everyone.
He pulled me onto his lap.
"You are light."
"Sure," I scoffed.
"Hey stop. You are beautiful."
I was always beautiful to him.
"You are forever beautiful Y/N."
"Have I told you how beautiful you are yet?"
"Hello my beautiful angel."
I grabbed my phone. Flipping it in my hands. Y/F/N left. I was alone in my room. Feeling his presence linger. Because he left something about him everywhere he went. I paced my room. I was terrified to know if my friend was wrong. I wanted her to be wrong so badly.
I didnt want her to be right. But i was more terrified that she was right. I shakily punched in the numbers.
"What are we Shawn?"
"I dont know." He paused. "What are we?"
"I don't know."
"Hello?"
"Is this Shawn?"
"No it's his sister what do you need?"
"Oh uh is he around?"
"Yeah he has a girl upstairs let me get him."
I froze.
"Do you like anyone else?"
"Nope. Only you."
Tears rolled gracefully down my cheeks.
"No. Just tell him Y/N said to never talk to her again."
I hung up the phone. And called someone else.
"Y/N."
"You were right." I choked a sob. My body doubling over as the wind flew out of my lungs. "You were so painfully right."
"I know Y/N. Look I am on my way right now okay? Breathe slowly don't hurt yourself or anything okay? I got some chips and chocolate and click flicks in the car." I laughed bitterly.
"Why are you so prepared?"
"Always have to be 'douchebag crushed my heart' ready. Plus I told you I was right." I sniffed.
"Okay."
Why didn't I listen to her before?
